Exquisite! Everything about the place and experience was incredible. My partner and I made a last minute booking, then experienced some issues with our vehicle in Durban, on our way to the lodge. We informed the owners (whose checkin time closes at 1700), and they were very accomodating of our predicament. They waited for us until we arrived, hours past the check-in window, they were very welcoming and even went as far as allowing us to stay a few hours past the checkout time, as we didn't get enough time to experience the place, considering we booked one night on New Years Eve. Our suite was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. We felt like we were the only people at the lodge, as the suites offer guests privacy and attention. Dinner and breakfast was delectable and served with such professionalism by the staff. Breakfast was served with a view of the game reserve, which was amazing. I can't fault this establishment on anything- the place is beautiful, serene, spacious, clean, excellent service, food is great, everything was impeccable- which is why we plan on returning soon, for a proper stay so we can fully experience all they...

This hidden gem is absolute paradise. Based on a mountain range the views are spectacular with thriving South African bush in every direction. The lodge is 5 stars, with a huge classy main reception area, restaurant and spacious, private lodge rooms. Your every need is attended to by the incredible team which will feel like family by the end of your stay. The food is the best we've tasted in SA, fresh with huge spreads to choose from - we tried Impala and Ostrich. There is so much to do during your stay, but they do specialize in horse safaris. The stables were immaculate and the horses are well taken care of, the guides are very knowledgable and you will see plenty of animals on horseback. We saw a herd of 16 giraffes and 8-10 Zebras as well as a rare sighting of Jackals. There is NO need to see the big 5 when you can experience these herbivores within meters on horse back in a relaxed and healthy environment. The experience is completely up to you, the team will tailor make your stay to whatever suits you with flexibility and no pressure. We will definitely be returning with Pakamisa having a special place...

I had a wonderful riding holiday at Pakamisa! It was an unforgettable experience- amazing scenery and wildlife, beautiful and well cared for horses, and exceptional food and accommodation.  Isabella and Antony were very welcoming and diligent hosts and everything was of the highest quality. The bush breakfast, sundowners, and river cruise to see hippos and crocodiles were especially memorable. I would recommend Pakamisa to anyone looking to go on safari in South Africa, but if you love horses this is heaven!

Love this place to bits! Isabella and Anthony are excellent hosts! Love their team members esp Chamu! This place is a paradise. I could just stay here and feast on their library of books but they have so many fun activities lined up for us. Trekking, horseback riding, archery and air rifle target shooting. The fine dining every evening with inexpensive wine, is a nice way to wind down the day. Scenaries are breathtaking here. We will be back!!
