Lalapanzi Lodge — Hotel in Western Cape

It truly was a wonderful, relaxing stay at Lalapanzi Lodge. Everything is so thoughtfully done at this establishment. From the very beginning the communication is detailed but filled with useful information and suggestions to make your stay great. Our arrival was met with warmth and friendliness and our accommodation was absolutely wonderful. A chalet that is so beautifully decorated. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and it really felt like a home from home. The view is absolutely outstanding and the silence incredible. We had loadshedding at one point - totally unexpected and the generator came on and we didn't even realise. There's a small bar fridge by the pool filled with cool drinks, beers and wine and works on an honour system. The pool itself has some of the best views as well. The walks are well explained and documented. The breakfasts are outstanding and the service is so attentive and caring. I really, truly cannot recommend Lalapanzi Lodge more highly and really hope to go back...

This is our second visit to Lalapanzi and undoubtedly won't be our last. We stayed for three weeks in the guest suite which ticked each and every one of our boxes. The accommodations itself are splendidly appointed and the views, especially at sunset to die for. The availability of a BBQ (braai) is a super touch and we had a couple of outing with that. To sit with a glass of cold white wine watching the sun go down over Gordon's Bay is a great memory|Rose and her team make everyone feel extremely welcome and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts, taken on the balcony with super views of the grounds and the Bay start the day off well. It is a delight to chat with Rose and the girls and of course Marie-helene. Words can't describe how amazing our stay was at this beautiful property. Rose and Marie Ellen were all star hosts and the staff so attentive and friendly. We loved every second of our family vacation. The kitchen is well equipped for big family cook outs, the rooms are set apart so it feels private while still sharing the main living area. The pool is perfect for lounging and relaxing. Plenty of seating outdoors and indoors for hanging out with family, eating meals, playing games. The mountain and vineyard views are breathtaking.
