We booked two nights at Ongegund Lodge to attend a family wedding at nearby venue as this location was convenient.||The running of the property seems to left to the staff, there was no sign of any hosts or management at all during our entire stay. The hot (English) breakfast is very average, prepared in advance including fried eggs. It reminds me of breakfast served at boarding school, nothing like the photographs on their website! The bath towels in our room looked old, tired and were stained. Our room was upstairs in the main building and only accessible either by a very steep spiral staircase inside or an external staircase, lugging suitcases up there was not much fun. The WiFi does not work properly and the staff weren't able to give us the correct password. Despite being told that our very elderly parents-in-law needed accommodation with easy access and a bathroom with a walk in shower, their room had to changed on arrival due to the shower being in the bath. Other family members requested 2 single beds for their sons and this was not done. on Sunday morning we were awoken at 4am by other guests preparing for a wedding. Hair dryers going, doors banging, people stomping up and down the spiral staircase which happened to be next to our room. The rules explicitly say that noise is not tolerated, however this does seem to the case. If you arriving late, ensure that you have made arrangements to have dinner somewhere as the staff do not seem to able to recommend where to eat. ot sure I would...
