Arum Lily Cottage — Hotel in Witzenberg Local Municipality

Arum Lily Log Cabins are situated on a working farm and have a unique position right on a dam surrounded by fruit orchards with mountains in the distance. Cabin 2 is a modern, beautifully appointed cabin with wifi, kitted out for two couples, but children are welcome at the other cabins on the farm. ||||It is pristine and well-equipped with an open-plan lounge with a small fireplace and a full kitchen with counter-seating for sociable cooking sessions. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and sliding doors that open up onto a spacious deck that is undercover and which has a dining table at bar-table height. ||||The cabin comes with aircon and electric blankets and the main bedroom has a bath in one corner, overlooking the dam. Behind the cabin is a private courtyard with an outdoor shower. ||||From the wooden deck down a few steps is a lovely spacious braai area that is undercover with built-in seating, and a spectacular, tiled hot tub with a Moroccan feel. This is a hot tub where one can spend many hours overlooking the dam, enjoying its birdlife and the ducks waddling past. The owners have gone out of their way to create hospitality with style, including little extras such as tea light candles around the hot tub for soaks under the stars, as well as dressing gowns and swimming towels. ||||The cabin is equipped with its own canoe and in summer weather the dam invites floating around on a tube or lilo, or trying your...

Absolutely Amazing It's soooo worth the money! The views over the dam and mountains were heavenly - picture perfect , whichever way you chose to look. It could even be enjoyed directly from the dam while rowing in one of the complimentary kayaks available to guests or even from one of their beautiful jacuzzi's. You simply can't beat this. Each one of the three log cabins we stayed in were superbly appointed and absolutely spotless (cabins 6, 3 and 2). It was comforting to know that our cabins were very thoroughly disinfected and sanitized before our arrival, complying with all Covid 19 protocols. As for the furnishings and fittings - these were all top of the line with absolutely no compromise on quality.
