We spent a lovely three nights in the Bougain Villa self catering cottage. Hadi is wonderful and can't do enough - homemade rusks, spring water, milk if you need (we had brought our own), wood for the bbq and indoor fireplace. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a wooden deck to admire the view of the mountains, sheep and cows and just a short walk takes you to go say hi to the free-range chickens!||||The town of Tulbagh is less than 10 mins away with museums, quaint shops and restaurants in buildings that are a couple hundred years old and full of history. Read morePlenty of room in this old cottage near Tulbagh. Very friendly and helpful owner, she really did all you can think of to make our stay perfect. The little one was invited to come help feed the lambs, he also greatly enjoyed all the other cattle around. Nice hike to the trainviewingpoint (starts down the road to the right, from the house). Keep in mind that only one of the two bathrooms has a shower (the other one only has a bath) and the place isn't brandnew but we thought it was very charming and it was a great base for us to explore Tulbagh and surroundings.
