Best Western Gunsan Hotel — Hotel in Gunsan-si

I would’ve given this property a better review if they worked harder at a couple of items. First off, the good; the gentleman in the front desk, goes by the name of Brian, was very helpful and did a wonderful job with our accommodations as best he could. The rooms were definitely better than what I would expect from a Best Western. Clean, comfy, and room service was great. To The not so good; we didn’t get a chance to eat at the lobby dining. Every time we tried, there was some event going on where we were not allowed to sit there. The rooms didn’t have a microwave. When I went downstairs to heat up a quick meal, the attendant told me to go across the drive and use the convenient store. Not acceptable. |It would’ve been nice if the sauna was operational. The workout room was not to par. It was great to know that the surrounding area had some exciting choices of food. You just had to drive a little. Maybe about 15 minutes out. I've stayed at this hotel three times and had no issues at all in the past. It is new and clean and quiet. However, had the breakfast buffet charged to my room and then paid cash for it upon checkout. My travel partner paid cash at the buffet and did not understand the cashier. She made the 16,000 Won (less than 16 USD) breakfast buffet sound like 60,000 Won (just under 60 USD). He paid 60,000 Won and got back no change. When we brought this up at the reception desk upon checkout, they claimed no one paid cash for breakfast the day before. That they would review the video and get back with us. Not very good customer service for this...

Even though it was business visit and need to stay near industrial area - I thick one can compromise on bit travelling rather staying here.||Hotel staff is courteous and happy to help but with limitation of English and their regulations. ||Late evening hours - no dinner available. No room service even in odd hours.||Breakfast timings are limited and nothing to do / go in nearby area.||Overall - better to stay in city area compare to this for business travellers who has...
