MJ Resort — Hotel in Jeju

We had only 1 day stay at MJ Resort, however we were very surprised with attentive concierge which came out full force (Qty 3 with 2 ladies and 1 guy) to greet us when we pull into carpark. They even helped us to bring all luggages straight and directly to our room after check in, even if our rooms were on 2nd floor. The toilet and shower area is separated into 2 rooms, so both of us can do our things separately. The room looks very new with wood furnishings, however only drawback is there is no side table by bed with charger, so we can't charge our devices and no international plugs (only Korean 2 pin plugs). The bed is facing directly to sea view so you can watch sunset / sunrise directly from your bed. One disappointing thing too, is the EV charger was not switched on although it was advertised it was there (Qty 2). The next day free breakfast inclusive inside room rate, was bigger spread for 3 star hotel than we expected. Anchovies was great, and food delicious. In this short one day, we had spoken to MJ (the boss) who don't really speak english (thru' staff who speak english) and grown closer (we had donated fund to print more books). Staff of MJ resort is extremely attentive. Helped with everything that can be possible and not possible too 😂 Cleaning of room and outside is exceptional. EVERYTHING is exceptional. Foreigner-approved and korean-approved breakfast!! Almost cried when yogurt was not sweet as everything tend to be sweet in Korea. Almonds, sunflower seeds and dried fruits for it. PINEAPPLE JAM, common! Homemade mandarin and carrot jems and juices! Different types of breads!! And, oh my God, coffee! It was so good and not standard tastless one. Why I am talking so much about breakfast? Because it's really hard to find a really good one, even in $200-$300 hotel in Korea. My husband also said that korean part of breakfast was really well done and he is pretty picky himself too. Will totally go back there again and recommend it...

This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The property is beach-front and has an incredibly beautiful view from the balcony and outside. You can take a walk in the morning after delicious free & healthy breakfast and take some beautiful photos. There are at four top-notch coffee shops in walking distance. This place is definitely NOT a 2-star rated lodging as the Google says. It is comparable to 4.5-5 star hotel. Staffs are very polite and accommodating. Room services are also top-notch. If I were to visit Jeju again, this is where I would stay instead of other well known...
