Seogwipo JS Hotel — Hotel in Seogwipo-si

I was visiting Jeju Island for the first time. I stayed in three hotels in a week. I finally booked this hotel because I wanted to enjoy its free open-air swimming pool in the last two days. I didn’t expected the front desk staff say that the rooftop swimming pool was closed. (It was August and a hot day ) she ask me to pay for the indoor swimming pool. I was very disappointed. I took the room card and went to my room. When I entered into my room, first thing to do was open the window and look at the beautiful scenery of Seogwipo. I was so shock, because I couldn’t see anything outside the window. Less than two meters away from the window, it turned out to be a building under renovation, the view was inky! I immediately went to the front desk to find a complaint from the staff. The staff couldn’t speak much English. she found two staff members to explain to me: "You have booked a standard room. It is like this. If you want to change the other room has view, you have to pay W20000 more, ” that was unbelievable outrageous! I ‘ve been traveled around the world and I always booked the standard room of the hotel. I have never lived in a hotel room like this. except I have once stay on the cruise ship with no windows room. I like to remind who wants to rent this hotel , must ask clearly what ‘s the room window is facing ? otherwise you will be very disappointed when you enter into your room, I will not stay in this hotel again in the future. The room: Standard double bedroom was much smaller than expected and in fact I will recommend it for single not for couples. The AC in the room doesn't work during winter, so kind of no air circulation, hence I had to open the window on the cold winter nights which went down to -3 degrees one day. But think before opening the window because ours didn't close back. So how to circulate the air inside the room? I used the washroom ventilator, which operated with the light and hence room had light for whole night.||2. Buffet: Buffet place is good but the quality of food is not good. No warm milk (only cold) and it is expensive for what they served. Not many options for you, even banana are cut down into small pieces (I never saw that before anywhere else I have traveled).||3. The room again: Standard doubled bedroom is towards the side of the hotel which doesn't really face the sea but the construction site which could be a lot noisy during daytime and I imagine once the building construction is complete the windows will be blocked by the building.||4. The room service: I must say room service was good and they cleaned everything without a fuss every day.||5. Swimming pool and other facilities either don't work during winter or comes with extra money from your pocket.||6. Our room was far away from the elevator but we can still hear the rolling and vibration of them while on the bed and they were noisy. All normal Doublebed rooms face towards the construction site hence noisy...
