DELPINO is a big resort and inside this resort there are 3 other resorts and has a very nice outdoor terrace and spring spa but unfortunately it was closed. They also have various cafes, bakery, restaurants within the resort making it easy for people to dine and enjoy their time inside the resort. Inside DELPINO they have Sono Felice Delpino, Sono calm and Sono moon. We stayed 1 night this week at Sono calm because we wanted a view of the Seoraksan National Park. The only minor issue with this resort is that if you want a room with a view of the mountain you need to arrive very early to get a que ticket. The que ticket is opened from 7am and you need to return back at 12pm to get your room allocate. In case you miss your turn, you will need to wait again for your turn. We arrived at 7am to get a que ticket both paper and digital and returned back at 12pm and were lucky to get a room allocated with the mountain view. We paid extra 22,000 KRW to get a room with a view, but it was worth it. For those that wants to stay in Delpino sono calm, they also have 2 types of rooms. Room A type where you can cook while Room type B your not allowed to cook. We booked Room type B to avoid the smell inside. Also Room type B building has higher floors which is also better for those that wants to enjoy the view. The only minor issue with the rooms were the toilet smell. I think there is an issue with the drain. Both bathrooms water drain wasn't so good and there was a smell. The rest of the experience and rooms were good and comfortable but as it was super windy the sliding glass door to the balcony created a strange wind sound. Also as this resort is more of a 'CONDO' style, the balcony to the next-door Neighbour is very close and you can actually see the next-door rooms, so we had to keep our bedroom curtain closed and during the night we can hear the sounds of people talking. For a 1-night experience the value of this resort was worth it and for those that want to enjoy golf, there is a golf ground that is also...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about this place, because it had some excellent things about it and some terrible things about it. The excellent things about this place, lots of parking, exterior of this place was very well maintained, water pressure was excellent, interior was clean. The building we were in, the Sono Moon Tower, East. Was nice, but old. Our room, the patio door would not open and we could not tell if the door was locked or not, but since you could not open it, it did not matter. There were too few electrical outlets. There were no place to hang coats or clothes. No microwave, they did have a stove to cook. The room door lock was worn out, it was difficult to lock and unlock the door. This is a pet friendly room. You must provide a hard copy of your pets vaccination, in particular the rabies vaccination. You must use the leash they provide you with, it allows them to know that the pet is the registered animal. They do provide you with water and food bowl, pee pads, cushion, ramp for you pet to use to get up...
Read moreThis is a resort hotel. It has all the amenities in the room itself. We had a 2 bedrooms apartment (about 90 sqm). There are smaller rooms available for couples. Towels are provided but not toothbrush or soap. The skiing area is just around the hotel vinicity. Rental or purchase of ski equipment is available in their shopping malls. There are 2 malls for now. (winter Olympics will be held in Feb 2018. You might want to consider booking early) The mountain view is mesmerising when artificial snow are sprayed onto the slopes to get a fresh layer for better skiing experience. You can order take-outs like Korean Fried chicken and have it delivered to your room. Cost about 19,000 won. Alternatively, you may cook your own meal. You can go to their minimart to purchase the ingredients like rice, kimchi, live fish...etc. My rating would be 4 1/2 stars. Beautiful scenery, wonderful resort. Definitely Worth considering...
