My first stay in June booked through Hotels.com was great. Beautiful ocean view from the room (I was given an option to choose between sunrise and sunset view) and it was such a great stay. So I came back for the second time today (November), (booked through the hotel's own website), I was provided with a room with a disappointing view (5th floor room with a view of the rooftop of the 4th floor with red paintings on it) while it stated "All guest rooms are OCEAN VIEW" on their website, which is still true as there is an ocean ahead but I cannot see a thing at night because of insanely spacious rooftop blocking my balcony (there's no access to it) and what's even worse is its lights and the balcony lights (which I have no control of) will not let you enjoy night sky or the night ocean view - which is the whole point of staying in Yeosu. So I enquired through the reception and I was just simply told sorry we only have rooms on 5th floor and those are all fully booked out - Of course it's totally understandable but who knew you would get a worse room when you book directly through the hotel online. Silly me haha! We booked a triple room as there were three of us but there were only 2 bath towels and 2 bottles of water. When we asked for an extra bath towel and a bottle of water, reception guy said "you should have asked for that when you made a booking online. We'll give you one this time but an extra bottle of water can't be provided since it's not provided based on number of guests....ok I would have done that if you made it clear enough your website and I should have been aware that it's only 3.5 star hotel..my bad.. Lastly, I could hear guests around us constantly making stomping noises. So my best advices to other travellers are: 1. NEVER book through their own website 2. ONLY make a request when you make a booking online NOT while you are actually there 3. if you are guests of 3 or 4, go for a double room rather than a triple room - which seems to be gathered on 5th floor (try your best to avoid 5th floor!) 4. simply avoid the busy time of the year as there's a high chance you will get this rooftop view...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hotel JCS Yeosu, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Korea. From the moment I arrived, everything—from the service to the scenery—was absolutely top-notch.
The biggest highlight has to be the breathtaking view. My room overlooked the vast blue ocean, and I could see the waves gently crashing along the coast from the comfort of my bed. The sunrise and sunset were especially unforgettable—something you truly need to see in person to appreciate. The hotel’s location gives you unobstructed views of the water, nearby islands, and even the iconic Yeosu Maritime Cable Car gliding above the sea. Whether you’re sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee or relaxing in the lobby lounge, the view is constant and spectacular.
The room itself was spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated with a modern yet cozy atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and all amenities were well prepared. It’s clear that attention to detail is a top priority here. The room felt luxurious without being overly extravagant—just the right balance for a peaceful coastal getaway.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always greeting guests warmly and ready to help with anything, including travel tips and local recommendations. I also appreciated the smooth check-in and check-out process, which made the experience even more convenient.
There are also great facilities available, including a rooftop lounge, a fitness center, and a lovely café where you can enjoy drinks while soaking in the sea breeze. It's located near many of Yeosu’s top attractions, including Odongdo Island, the Expo Park, and the Yeosu night market, which are all easily accessible by car or taxi.
Overall, Hotel JCS Yeosu offers a perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and natural beauty. It’s an ideal choice for couples, families, or solo travelers looking to enjoy the peaceful side of Yeosu while still being close to everything. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Yeosu, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting this...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Booked here for our honeymoon stay and the place is so disorganized it's embarrassing. Having dinner was a total nightmare, made a reservation at 10am and got told at 4pm the same day that there wasn't enough food and we could have chosen between 3 types of pasta only..... Booked anyway and got aglio olio pasta ( I'm from Italy and allergic to cheese ) the bloody thing came with cheese on it...... The staff was friendly and tried to do what they could but the management here have no idea about running a 5 star hotel! Got charged 20$ to access the swimming pool too ahah what a joke.
No one spoke English either, luckily my wife is Korean otherwise it would have been impossible to communicate.
Avoid like the plague and bring your money...
