If you want to review a stunning location as this one you really need to break up you review in to two parts to do it honor.

The location is stunning. It is an old village turned in a resort. And all the buildings and facilities are in the old renovated and rebuild buildings, or in buildings with exact matching style. A lovely swimming pool with lifeguard. A shop with the biggest supply of everything eatable/drinkable I've seen up to today on a resort/campsite with a decent pricing. And a decent restaurant, with fair pricing.

Near a big reservoir lake with some stunning views, used for some water activities, fishing, and if you dare, swimming.

I can not say anything about the hotel or cabins.

The campsite is nice, pitches under (mostly) pine trees which will give you shade trough a large part of the day. The pitches are on multiple levels caused by the campsites partially being terraces. Short stay guests with campers, caravans will be placed on the ground level. Few have some decent space. And a few smaller ones are also available on this level tents or smaller campers. Pitches are straight and hardend soil. The next level has a large part for tents, and a section for long stay/seasonal guests.

Pricing is fair. And as long there ain't a big party in the big event tent they have standing you are really going to have a good time here.

But then there are the toilets and showers.. And these are the only thing that make this experience a 4 star instead of a spot on 5 star review. The two available buildings are old, and badly maintained. Mold on a lot of surfaces, and paintwork letting loose. But the wife and I had a completely different experience..

The bathhouse near the long stay guest had the males in the baddest conditions, while the other one had the females in a bad condition.

Cleaning: I've seen it being cleaned 2 times a day, and hope I am missing one session. But the cleaning looks like it's nothing more then a quick wipe and mop and change. A conclusion by the "dirt" that is left after cleaning. A "brown stain/stripe" on the paper dispenser was there still a day later. And that is really something you should notice when doing a cleaning. The time they were spending with a team of 3 was in my eyes a bit short, but lets assume they just work very hard. :) (I've been in the same line of work)

Yet, if you do some searching you will find a stall that feels clean enough for comfort. There are luckily plenty enough stalls to choose from. And yes, with the old comes old. But there are parts where stuff is broken, or gone, tiles coming off and mold on the seals, ceilings and joints. A ferm cleaning and restoration is really needed to make this location to what it deserves.

I would advice this resort to do a complete redoing of the bathhouses and just ask everyone 5 euro more per day for the stay to cover the investment. Because the price your paying for the experience is totally worth for what you get. And it really saddens me that the quality of the bathhouses is such a stain on a otherwise 5 star stay.

That being said, if you can look trough this, this is a near perfect camping spot. So sadly...

We stayed here for a few days waiting for a part to be delivered from the UK which would allow us to fill up our near-empty gas canister. We chose it because it advertised way-marked walks from the campsite and the fact it had a restaurant. The whole site is very picturesque being a renovated old village turned into a holiday village. It has been restored very tastefully and caters for all sorts with a hotel, a hostel, bungalows, cabins and pitches. The walking from here is good; we walked from the site to Ainsa, with it's very pretty old town, and back 3 different ways (via the old tower, using the pista path, and via the lake path). Plus there are other walks nearby and it's very popular with MTBers. The restaurant in low season offers a limited choice for an evening meal and we were encouraged to go for the buffet, which was very average, though reasonably priced. The pitches are laid out on a series of terraces, though many of which are not supplied with electricity and the higher ones are a good walk away from the facilities. We managed to get one just close to the restaurant and reception, which meant we had good Wi-Fi reception. The staff were very helpful. Our gas ran out while we were waiting for the part to arrive and with the help of Maria from the restaurant, Clara from reception and Ramon from maintenance they were able to get us up and running with a loaned canister. Maria had excellent English and acted as translator for...

Ahora mismo estoy alojado en un bungalow Ordesa para 4 personas. Es el tercer año que vengo por motivos familiares, pero va a ser el último. El estado de los bungalows comienza a ser deplorable: tablas levantadas, sofá cama con lamas que faltan, neveras que piden jubilacion, piscina rebosante de cloro y animación que ha perdido mucho. Pero lo peor de todo es el calor insoportable que se genera en el bungalow desde las 10 de la mañana hasta las 10 de la noche, lo que te obliga a estar todo el día fuera de el, metido en la piscina (que cierra de 2 a 4), y vagando por el camping con tu toalla en busca de una sombra, compitiendo por ella con el resto de ocupantes de los demás bungalows "baratos". En pleno siglo XXI y siendo una zona donde hace muchísimo calor en verano, los bungalows Pineta y Ordesa no tienen aire acondicionado, lo que los hace inhabitables. He protestado en recepción y he pedido que me cambien a un sitio mínimamente habitable, ya me da igual si es un bungalow "eco" o un cuarto oscuro, pues pagar el dinero que cuestan los Ordesa y Pineta (que no son baratos) para pasarme las vacaciones tirado en una toalla pegado a la piscina no me apetece. La respuesta ha sido que hay bungalow con aire (los "ecobungalows") pero más grandes y más caros y están ocupados, y que se siente. Así que si queréis estar sin asfixiaros, pasad por caja y pillaros uno de los caros aunque solo seáis dos, tres o cuatro personas porque el resto al parecer no merecen aire acondicionado por el precio que pagas. Muy caro para lo que ofrece.

22/08/2023. Me han contestado a mi comentario. Decir al respecto que: 1. No era una ola de calor puntual. En los años que he ido allí SIEMPRE hace mucho calor en verano. Ya sabía a lo que iba cuando fui (de hecho pregunté que a ver si este año me tocaba uno que tuviese algo de sombra) pero este año ha sido ya demasiado y como me dijisteis en recepción "la gente viene pensando que hace fresquito y aquí siempre hace calor en verano porque estamos a 600 m de altura". 2: Las instalaciones y el camping claro que son buenos. Pero no puedo/no quiero pasarme el día en la biblioteca porque no puedo estar en el bungalow. Tampoco quiero pasarme el dia en la terraza del bar. 3:claro que hay bungalows con aire acondicionado a partir de 164 euros/día creo recordar. Por eso os pregunté si resulta que cobrais un extra de 40 o 50 euros al día por tener AA, y me dijisteis que bueno, que es que también el bungalow es un poco más grande. No quiero un bungalow más grande. Quiero uno para 4 o menos personas en el que se pueda estar en unas condiciones mínimas de habitabilidad en verano, cosa que no cumplen los Ordesa y Pineta y que se debería avisar, sobre todo para gente que vaya con niños o personas mayores o incapacitadas. El ventilador es como el que tengo en mi cocina (para todo un bungalow), y solo sirve para empeorar el ambiente puesto que remueve aire caliente.4: sabéis que no soy el único que opina esto. Los ocupantes de los dos bungalows contiguos al mío también se quejaron de que no se podía vivir allí, unos de boquilla, y otros en persona como yo en recepción. Tal es así que estos últimos volvieron a Zaragoza a por un AA portátil con el que a duras penas me contaron que pudieron sobrevivir. 5: claro que estáis en vuestro derecho de cobrar el precio que os de la gana por vuestros alojamientos y de poner o no AA, pero deberíais avisar que en los que no hay AA da el sol todo el día en la mayoría de ellos y que al tener un piso extra de altura inutilizado se acumula el calor durante toda la jornada, y no hay ni siquiera un triste toldo (la gente los improvisa como puede con cuerdas y toallas, sábanas...) por lo que resulta imposible estar alli hasta bien entrada la noche, momento en que se ventila mínimamente. Dicho esto, no tengo más que añadir que quitando esto el sitio es bueno tanto en ubicación como en instalaciones, pero sigo pensando que los bungalows "baratos" no están en condiciones de habitabilidad, ni en estado de mantenimiento adecuado (colchones, somier, suelo, paredes...). Al...
