Hotel Valdevécar Albarracín — Hotel in Albarracín

Although this hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the centre of Albarracin, it suited my needs perfectly. I wanted somewhere quiet with convenient parking and at a reasonable price. Another benefit was that I found the family that run this hotel very friendly and helpful. This hotel doesn't serve meals other than breakfast and due to the time of year, the restaurant around the corner was closed and I was advised not to use the restaurant at the hotel across the road. My only option was to go to Albarracin and I didn't want to drive there, so the owner offered to drive me there. It was very kind of him, but I fancied the walk and was told that due to the small size of the population, there were no taxis in town and I would have to walk back. If you intend walking up and down the streets of Albarracin, this walk will be no problem. I would certainly consider staying at this establishment again if I were in the area and would recommend it's consideration to anyone...

Don't be fooled by the one star rating; this is a decent, reasonably priced, well-run establishment. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, showers are hot, the breakfast is good, albeit fairly basic, and the staff are welcoming. The worst thing you can say about it is that it's a 20 minute walk from the centre of town, which is nothing really. And if you are lazily inclined then there's the Asador around the corner for food and La Zahora not five minutes away for drink. Loved it here. We were traveling with my 83-year-old mother, who is quite difficult to please, and even SHE loved this place. ||The family went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The service was personalized and sincere.||Rooms were comfortable and clean...
