I wish I could have given this Casa Rural a higher rating. The room was a decent size. The bed had a firm mattress and a bolster (sausage) shaped pillow, common in Spain. What let the place down was the dirty bathroom, inadmissible during Covid. No bath mat, dirty drinking glass. The shower head didn’t sit in the right position and so I had to hold it which was bad. The heating is controlled by the owner and the shower went cold after 5 minutes.|On the plus side, the evening meal was delicious and it was well worth having half board. In the morning breakfast is left out and there’s different breads, with yoghurt, cold meats and cheese in a fridge. The coffee machine was easy to use. It meant you could have breakfast early if on the Via de la Plata pilgrimage.
