Alicia’s place is really superb. There are hundreds of little touches that make the place feel comfortable and relaxing (and very practical too). A car is definitely a necessity and given the parking and roads in the region, hiring one as narrow as you can is recommended!

The views of the mountains and countryside are stunningly beautiful and can be seen from the rooms on all floors. The 2nd floor bed is very comfortable, and while there is no air conditioning there are ceiling fans and fly screens on almost all of the windows so it’s possible to manage for heat and humidity well.

We had a great week at thi property in Alfará de Carles. The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped with stunning views of the mountains. The English speaking owner was very helpful - after a hot drive across Spain we arrived to find cool water in the fridge and a welcome gift of local wine and tomatoes.
