Just stayed here for a night whilst walking for 3 days in the area. What a cracking find. We arrived late after a long days walk so were ready for somewhere warm, comfortable and with good food.||Rene and family have only had the refugio for a year but I am sure they will do really well. We have stayed in many refuges over the last years and this rates up amongst the best.||The refuge was busy when we were there but not full and they very kindly gave us a small dorm to ourselves instead of cramming us in with everyone else. No extra charge and very thoughtful and hugely appreciated.||Dorms are clean and comfortable.||Hot showers available too.||Dinner was available between 8-9pm and was enormous home made food and really tasty. Breakfast again was much better than the normal refuge fodder. Cheeses, salamis, bread rolls, croissants, cakes, tea and coffee. Enough to keep you going all day!||Dinner bed and brekky for 35€ a total BARGAIN.||A beautiful location with lots of options for walks nearby plus a beautiful river with a good swimming hole just 5 mins from the refuge.||Thank you for making us so welcome and looking after us so well. We had a really good stay. If ever passing by in Chamonix come say hello! Thanks...
Read moreJust back from a night at the Refugi and had a great stay. My wife and I were walking part of the HRP and stayed lastnight. Nothing was a problem and the food was amazing. As they were not too busy we got a room to ourselves. Hot showers for free. Struggled to eat all the supper and had a fabulous breakfast and as much as you wanted. The staff were so good and nothing was too much trouble.||They would have made packed lunches but we were self sufficient as we only had to get over the Port de Salau.||Will definitely recommend to...

The staff was super helpful and attentive. Unfortunately there is no mobile service in the area and the place doesn’t offer wifi to the public as well but i think they will let you make emergency calls if you need to....
