The rooms have been modernised but a bit shabby in places. There is a beautiful sweeping staircase in the reception area. The a/c was very quiet. The shower cubicle could do with being regrouted- it was a bit messy with gaps- I'm sure it leaked to the room below. The staff were very friendly. As the car park was very full we booked a table for a meal in the restaurant in the evening as were too late for lunch. There was no need as we were the only diners, barring one other man that came in much later!!!!! My husband ordered the pork cheek and was served 2 enormous pieces of meat but there was nothing else on the plate other than the meat and sauce. Not even a token garnish pepper or tomato. I ordered lamb chops and was served with meat and at least 5 small jacket potatoes, cut in half. How very weird to serve a woman all that potato and nothing for my husband. Of course I shared mine with him and they were very tasty. I've lived in Spain long enough to know that the Spanish are not great when it comes to serving vegetables but the above was very odd indeed. Perfect location for onward journey to Santander. The restaurant food was exceptional. There isn't a pool or an outside seating area with sun loungers which is a shame when the weather was 39 degrees. No fridge in room either or any paper cups which seemed strange. The Shower head when a bit mad when I turned it on. Sprayed outside the shower cubicle directly up in the air. Restaurant very good - We ordered fillet steak and apple pie. Reasonable and great quality food. Highly recommend for a stop over or lunch when passing through this area. The staff are wonderful and some speak English. Lovely big rooms with powerful shower and fabulous beds bedding and Aircon. Free parking...

This place may have seen better days, rooms and facilities are quite old and neglected now. I would definitely not recommend to make a reservation that does not allow amendments or cancellations without charges. Since evidently during weekends they always host weddings which is generally fine but you are only informed shortly in advance and can not cancel anymore. It is not only the noise but all other facilities such as bar and restaurant can not deliver any good service when hosting more than 200 guests. I have to say that service staff is extremely friendly and trying to make the best of it. Nevertheless it is an ok place from Sunday to Friday but definitely to avoid for...
