Hotel Torremilanos — Hotel in Aranda de Duero

We loved this hotel. At first we were a little unsure as the local industrial park is encroaching on the area but we need not have worried! The room was large and comfortable (if with a bit of an 80s vibe) but the thing that made it for us was the people - they are so friendly and helpful. We also had dinner here both nights and the cooking was excellent. At lot of people seem to stay here overnight on their way south from the northern Spanish ports but I recommend staying for two nights at least and getting to know this wine region. The hotel has an organic, biodynamic winery and they do really good tours and tastings - so interesting! Great people, great...

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time before the pandemic, the first time was excellent but this last time was seriously let down by the very limited evening meal menu and breakfast menu. The evening meal previously consisted of a fantastic choice of local dishes that I was looking forward too again but was let down by a choice of which a hamburger was the most gastronomic choice. A disappointment from an area of Spain that has some wonderful food. In the morning it was a completely cold buffet selection not even scrambled egg. Beautiful hotel in the vineyard and right next to the winery. Location is great..very close to the A1 highway but not loud. Staff is super friendly. I did not give it 5 stars across for the following reasons:

No coffee in rooms The hotel is also a winery so they could have offered a complimentary bottle of their wine at check in Could offer guests a complimentary wine tour. But did offer a free tasting at bar. No super impressed with food..but most don't stay there for food anyway.
