There are places you stay, and there are places that stay with you. Palacio de Luko is the latter.

My husband and I spent four nights here, and from the moment we arrived, we felt something shift. As if time slowed down and we were invited into a gentler rhythm. The house itself is breathtaking in its quiet beauty. Elegantly restored, warm in spirit, and surrounded by peaceful countryside that seems to breathe along with you.

But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. Itziar and Ana are the soul of this place. Their grace, warmth, and sense of care turned every moment into something special. From the way we were welcomed, to the thoughtful conversations, to the little details at breakfast. We felt genuinely seen and cared for. That same kindness extended to the housekeeping and every person connected to the hotel. Each of them added their own presence to what became, for us, a home away from home.

It’s rare to feel both completely relaxed and quietly uplifted in a hotel. Palacio de Luko gave us that, and more. We left with rested bodies, full hearts, and the quiet certainty that we will return.

This was our second stay here en route from France to Southern Spain. It is in a convenient spot, just off the AP1 motorway, yet it is very quiet. The approach is charming and the track navigable in our low-to -the - ground performance car and the parking is spacious and secure, a priority for us. |The old house is beautifully renovated with a lift, if required. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well air conditioned. The whole building shows the owners’ artistic talents. |We arrived mid afternoon and were asked if we would like supper provided and, as this hotel isn’t near a restaurant (the last time we stayed we drove into Vitoria for dinner) , we were happy with this invitation to dine ‘in house’. We selected our meal in advance, as requested and, at the appointed time, were presented with a feast! The supper was ample and delicious and so welcome. We booked this place while on a road trip. This place is a remarkable boutique hotel nestled in the heart of countryside. This hidden gem was once a family private house transformed into a magnificent little palacio, offering the guest a unique and unforgettable experience. I was captivated by the elegant blend of old world charm and contemporary design. Everything is a seamless fusion of old and modern elements.
