I planned a walking trip in the assumption that this pension was in Arzua, an important stop on the Camino de Santiago. We arrived in Arzua from the north, having walked the Camino del Norte... and we find we must go backward on the trail to reach this place of rest! Perhaps it's my fault for not scrutinizing the maps beforehand, but this location is a good SIX kilometers EAST of Arzua, dead on the highway. We were beat; we had to take a taxi back and forth. We were not happy pilgrims. ||The place is well-kept and friendly, but our room faced the noisy road and we had to keep the windows closed... thus shutting out...

Read moreA lovely place to stay. The rooms are quirky but beautiful, beds are very comfortable and everywhere is spotless. The staff are so accommodating, they fed a group of 11 of us with an evening meal that hadn't been booked in advance. The food was absolutely delicious and service was fantastic, lovely wine and a great atmosphere. What was a bonus for me was having chairs and tables outside which was great to sit out on in the beautiful sunshine after a tiring day. Great little place altogether with a bar and supermarket.
