I stayed at the hotel for one night only, fortunately, I couldn’t to be there more time. When I arrived, I couldn’t find a parking spot, even far from the hotel, all the spots were completely full. The staff is not well receptive, not friendly, not kind. I had to be asking where the dog was allowed, if the pool was opened. The pool opens only in mid June, which I don’t understand as in April/May already has a good season to enjoy this facility. The dog is allowed in the room for 30€/day which for me it’s quite expensive and I couldn’t find no reason behind this cost. The lift is outdated and lacking maintenance. When I entered the room I stayed chocked with the quantity of dust, was looking like they cleaned the room one month before or so and nobody used it and since then not cleaned anymore. The beds were looking like beds of hospital, with wheels and bad structure, but the mattress and pillows were quite comfortable. The window to the outside was not closing properly. The pavement of the terrace was ruined, needing maintenance and there was no table, no chair. The frigo bar just had water in can, there was no menu to the room-service or frigo bar. I didn’t know if the water was complimentary or not. The bathroom is old but spacious, but no amenities. The only things that were in the bathroom were the shower towels, hand towels, soap bar and shampoo+shower gel all in one, which is a shame for a pretended 4 star hotel. The breakfast was the biggest shame of the hotel. The quality of the food was so poor, worst than a hostel, but the space was clean, I mean, the minimum of the minimum. Detail, in the parking lot of the hotel has an advertising cartel full of birds, I let you imagine the gifts they leave in the cars of the guests 😅. Was my first and definitely last time I stayed in a hotel of this chain. The price was cheap, around 140€ for a night in end of April but this hotel doesn’t have conditions to be called 4...
Read moreI start with a question, why do they present themselves as a 4 star hotel? It's impossible, the family is not large but we are a couple with a couple of bordeaux dogs, when we search for a place, whether for short or long term, we try to see the reviews given by the customers and for that reason we book a room and of course we always mention the breed of dogs so there is no misunderstanding, when my wife checked in she was presented with a form with the dog rules at the hotel and what left us speechless was that the hotel charged 25€ per dog and when entering the hotel they had to go on a leash towards the room and from the room to the street there was no designated area for them to play or even to relieve themselves because pet friendly is something they don't know, when we go to dinner they deliver the menu which is summarized on a sheet with half a dozen dishes it goes without saying that it was a totally lost, the day after breakfast it was a waste of time again because one of the things we always signal and we confirm at check-in is my lactose intolerance and of course we are there hopefully to have basic things but that was not what happend, there is only one detail missing when we booked was a room with a double bed and overlooking the pool and when we checked in we were assigned a room at the back with a view of the building, single beds and the interior has not been updated for over 20 years the justification given by the hotel is that these types of rooms designed for people with animals and I paid for the best and received the worst, nothing good I do...
Read moreGreat location for our travel with my sister and her two small dogs to Portugal. It’s located in a secure area and plenty parking, including disabled badge holder spaces. My sister had her two small dogs in the Pet Friendly room we’d booked which was equipped with a walk in shower for her limited mobility.
The hotel internally is very spacious, so my sister used her folding mobility scooter to get around. There is a short circular walk from the hotel for anyone travelling with dogs.
We had the buffet dinner option and breakfast in the hotel which was good. It was particularly busy when we were there in mid-December, perhaps with two bus loads of guests. Dogs can only be left in the room or car at the hotel , which is normal for many hotels.
We had an incident with one of the lifts which the hotel said they would get seen too by the lift company. The staff at hand and maintenance team were very helpful, and hopefully that problem never repeated.
The rooms were a little tired decor wise, but the beds very comfortable and we had nice views out from...
