Overall a lovely holiday in the Cies bungalows. Campsite is impeccably clean as are all the service blocks, they seem to have someone constantly cleaning them. The location is absolutely ideal, it’s a 40 minute walk into the old town in Baiona, we did try to get a taxi a couple of times but they didn’t seem to be plentiful. Views from the bungalows are outstanding and I spent a long time gazing at the Cies islands being reminded of the Skelligs back home. The Galicians are a friendly bunch but we did find we struggled occasionally as not many people speak English. The bar and restaurant have fantastic views also but bear in mind they stop serving food at certain times of the day, dinner available from 8.30pm. Service can be slow as they don’t seem to have enough staff on. Food is fine but restaurants in the port would be nicer so worth making the trip there. The breakfast is nice and good value. Reception staff could be friendlier, I found them to be very officious and smiles were not plentiful. The mobile/bungalow itself was very modern and well planned. Two ring hob, microwave oven, small dishwasher, large fridge freezer, usb sockets in bedrooms. King size bed in master but mattress not brilliant. Aircon worked fine but we didn’t need it while we were there. Could do with a few more hooks for towels etc and a larger coffee pot. Our kids loved the stand up paddle boards you could rent. €15 for one hour. Better to get them at full tide and you can paddle out to the estuary. The beach itself is clean and water clear. When the tide is out you can nearly walk over to the headland across from the beach. Good beach for serious swimmers, saw lots of them with their tows pulling behind them. Would really recommend the campsite as a great base for exploring this beautiful area.

Big holiday site with pool flume but no loungers due to adjacent beach. Tightly packed pitches so book primium plus plus estuary facing, expensive but worth the uplift. Three excellent spacious facilities blocks cleaned about a dozen times a day, a tireless task particularly in the ladies! Reception effective, good humour, limited English speaking though most campers Spanish. Great site for kids who stay up late as most wired after late dinner so early nights out of the question. Very very busy in August. Washing machine expensive at 6€. Good washup up and laundry sinks. Many pitches small and close with lots of clutter so choose pitch carefully. Easy to find site but slip road of final roundabout missable. Washing lines and fences with clothing and towels make the site untidy. Motorhome service point a good facility however not easy to access. Dusty roads but staff try to keep under control. Spanish 2pin EHU so adaptor required. Polarity change by turning plug upside down a suprise. Baiona close busy, fun and pleasant with lots to do. Easy drive to Braga in Portugal. Public transport convenient and regular as nice 50 min trip to Vigo. Sometimes noisy but acceptable considering. Great cycling route along the coast north and south. Tapas brilliant and fairly priced if location chosen carefully ie by good reviews. WiFi pretty average Site seems to have given up on recycling. Not our usual holiday site but different and fun nonetheless

This is one of the most beautiful sites we have stayed at on our Iberian tour. The facilities are second to none, the toilet blocks are immaculate and are constantly being cleaned, the showers are roomy and there is plenty of hot water. There is a well stocked shop which is like a UK convenience store on the site with great tasting bread. The shop also sells frozen, chilled, fresh fruit and veg, dry, canned, cleaning products and toiletries. The food in the restaurant is excellent, it is just a pity that the staff haven't been trained for the service industry, they are quite surly and un-friendly, no smiles, they seem to have the attitude that they do not want to be there and are quite unhelpful if you can't speak fluent Spanish. Reception staff on the other hand are efficient and very welcoming. The views are amazing, the beach is beautiful, the waterpark/swimming pool is well kept and very clean. It is a short walk into the pretty town of Baiona which has plenty of good restaurants and bars. I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the bad attitude of the restaurant staff, I doubt they will be there long. I will definitely stay here again.

Pool really only suitable for kids messing about. Can’t really swim properly in it but our kids loved the slide and spent hours on it.
