Hotel Faro Silleiro — Hotel in Baiona

We had an incredible week-long stay at this lighthouse hotel - everything from the location right on the Atlantic to the sunset views over the ocean from the terrace with a glass of Galician wine are amazing. ||||It underwent a huge renovation from being built in 1924, you can tell a lot of care went into it. Everything is connected with the original lighthouse: the rooms, the decoration and details throughout the building. The lighthouse itself is still active, so you get to see it light up at night after the sun goes down.||||There’s a small gym with a great view — just a few cardio machines and some weights, enough to get in a quick workout. The pool also has amazing views of both the ocean and coast. The water was a bit chilly (and very windy at times), but refreshing, especially on hot days. Lounging with the views was one of the highlights of the stay.||||Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a hotel - everything was really high quality. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Cani, Merche and Ruben were so friendly and attentive, and the front desk staff Fátima and Sara were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. You can tell they really care about the place and want guests to feel welcome.||||The hotel is pet-friendly, we brought our small dog and she had a great time too. There’s parking right at the hotel, and the "rias" are beautiful to explore. They have a pair of eBikes you can rent. The Camino de Santiago (Portugese Way) goes right in front of the hotel on the coast which also makes for a nice morning or evening walk, and Baiona is a short drive away with some great restaurants and cute shops.||||We loved it here and would definitely come back! The views, the peaceful atmosphere, the charming decor, and the amazing staff made it a really unique and memorable...

This place is truly unique. The location feels calm and secluded, almost like being at the end of the world. Staying inside the old lighthouse was a special experience — I felt peaceful and safe from the very first moment. I loved the design: everything is carefully thought out, with details that remind you of the lighthouse’s history. Breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed being able to order exactly what I wanted. The staff were amazing. I always felt welcome — they regularly asked me how I was feeling and if I needed anything. Even though there isn’t a full lunch or dinner service, they arranged everything for me, including a wonderful spa visit at Thalasso Atlántico. Staying at Faro Silerio was an experience beyond imagination – truly a magical place. The style is impeccable, every detail is carefully curated with the guest in mind, and the staff are simply outstanding. The food and wine selection is brilliant, and breakfast was just perfect.||The team went above and beyond to help us organize a trip to the Cíes Islands and even recommended fantastic dinner spots, including Faro Pequeño (from the same group), which turned out to be the best dinner of our entire vacation.||We would recommend Faro Silerio to anyone looking for absolute relaxation combined with a deep connection to nature – the sound of the ocean is a constant presence.
