We used the euro camp website to book our caravan here for the week and had a good week. ||We ended up being there during the heatwave so I can say the aircon is amazing! Our caravan was kept at the perfect temp during siesta times.||Due to being there during the heatwave we also paid to have WiFi for the week, one payment (I can’t remember how much but it was less than 20 euros) was enough for 3 devices to get on and the WiFi signal was great all week.||The pool is nice and cool with lots of sunbeds around. No restrictions on swimwear so everyone was comfortable.||Raquel who was our euro camp rep was lovely and spoke English, she had the caravan cleaned and ready at 11am so even though our booking wasn’t until 4pm we got to go in early. She also lent us a beach parasol for the week which was appreciated. ||Euro camp have a box of free items you can help yourself too so we were able to use a bag of charcoal for the bbq and borrow some games and at the end of the holiday we left fire lighters, half a bag of charcoal and snorkels, it’s nice knowing the next holiday makers are going to make full use of them.||The caravan is plenty big enough as we had a 6 birth for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 older teens)and the outside sitting area is perfect for meals and drying washing. There is no oven but they did have a microwave, a gas hob and an outdoor bbq. The fridge/freezer was also big so we were able to keep plenty of water and fruit cool.||The euro camp caravans are the top of a very steep hill that our hire car struggled to get up, so we made full use of the free tractor train the camp have to transport people up the hill.||Calella is a lovely town with plenty of shops/restaurants including a McDonald’s (that do amazing gluten free burgers!), a few supermarkets are nearby- an Aldi, Lidl and Mercadona. |We recommend buying the seasoned chicken skewers from the Mercadona and grilling them on the bbq- they were lovely with a salad and the potatoes already cooked at the Mercadona, the pistachio doughnuts were also delicious.||The beach is also a short walk but very busy and the sand is more gritty rather than beachy but the sea was warm and we didn’t quite a few hours there.||Overall it was a good holiday, it’s a good place to go to and have fun.||I wouldn’t recommend it if you have young children as I think the steep walk with a pushchair would have been difficult, but older children who carry their own...

childhood memories. Dad was a soldier, stationed in Germany in 1965 when I was 10 years old. He drove down through Germany, then France. I remember the journey in our car with camping gear in a trailer. A huge adventure. Roca Grossa was amazing. We had freedom to roam and the site is safe. There was a fountain coming out of a rock with a lion's head carved on it. A tub of 'chupa chups' lollies on a counter in the bar/shop. I learned to play table football. I am an old lady now but I remember the smell, the heat, the sound of crickets, the echoing noise going under the road to the beach. One word of warning though. The beach slopes sharply. I was 10 years old, couldn't swim and nearly drowned. I remember the terror I felt and helplessness, so parents, watch your kids. If I could, I would come back to visit. My parents enjoyed it so much that 20 years later, they bought a home in Spain and lived there. Roca Grossa is a great family site, and the local town Calella has all you need. It's an international campsite too so your kids get a chance to make friends with kids of all...

Very clean site, toilets and showers were cleaned many times a day.Family friendly peaceful and quiet site, The train going through the camping site is a life saving machine as site is situated on a hill side. Shop a bit expensive according to prices in Calella but hot baguettes are worth every penny, the only bad thing its not open till 9:30 which is far to late if you want to have an early breakfast and enjoy every minute of the beautiful Spanish sunshine on the beach. We visited the restaurant only once prices are quite expensive and because my son had a little accident with the salt, the cap wasn't screwed properly and when he wanted to add some salt on his fries the cap fell off and he ended up with half of the salt on his fries and his plate, the waiter saw what happened and took the plate of my son but instead of replacing the over salted fries he only replaced the plate so we ate in Calella since. I Strongly recommend Greenwich . Overall I would definitely visit this...

The campsite is situated on the very high hill, so there is an outstanding view on the sea which is both, the greatest adventage and disadventage of the venue. The pitches are spacious, shaded and even. There is also transport up and down the hill, and a pool on the top of it -unfortunatelly, overcrowded all the time. There are also lots of sunbeds there. You cannot bring anything to drink to the poolsite/ solarium as there is a bar with waiter service, so lifguard closely watch you for heaving enything outside it. Very clean showers and toilets, however, that one near our pitch did not provide toilet paper, while the other did, so we have to carry our own each time. The restaurant offers fresh, tasty and afordable food served by the very friendly waiters. There are nudist beaches nearby. The nearest city Calella is very charming. Unfortunatelly, the closest public transport to Barcelona is about 25-30 min walking in the sun which may be challenging.

We stayed at this campsite in our bell tent for 12 days in July-August. It was absolutely fantastic! We had the best time. The campsite is fully equipped with everything you need and lots of shade. We also hired a huge fridge which was invaluable. The facilities are clean and modern and the shop has freshly baked bread. There is also some really good entertainment at the campsite bar. There is a daily mini-train "GuaGua" that takes you up and down the camp site, as this campsite is on a huge hill it's essential if you want to go to the top to the pool etc. The nearby beach Playa Roca Grossa is STUNNING! The only way to reach the camp site is by train to Sant Pol or Calella and a 15-20 mins walk or a taxi ride. No buses stop at the campsite except for an evening service 5-8pm approximately. We would totally come back again! 💯 recommend!
