Unfortunately on arrival we were led to discover that the owner lives downstairs in the villa. It is a residential area and no noise to be made after 11. Which of course is acceptable. We felt very uncomfortable on entering the villa as on the inside their is a stairs leading down to door to the owners flat. It should be stated on the villa description that the owners live at the villa. We did not sleep the first night as we felt very uncomfortable. The list of rules is vast no running , jumping , or excessive noise outdoors. Having two children and one of whom has ADHD and Autism this would for sure of caused us problems. I would not class the villa as child friendly. We did not stay here and ended up staying up all night searching for a more suitable property due to how uncomfortable we felt, if we did not have children we would have stayed and made do. Rachel the owner was okayish after we explained. Her husband is such a rude rude man and slammed the gate at us. So all in all due to a property description being incorrect and not declaring that they infact live in the property, the first red flag was when we were told on arrival do not ring the door bell we joked among ourselves what an odd thing to say ! they have obtained £1000gbp ( damages deposit )from us with no sign of any refund. We never damaged anything we simply chose not to stay and it not being suitable for ASN child with the extensive rules list. At no point or in any advertisement of the property did it state owners lived in the property with a stairwell inside the villa leading to the owners apartment.
We were not leaving without telling you. My husband and daughter came and knocked down to yourself in the morning and explained about our granddaughters. disabilties. So that is a LIE. As for late check in unfortunately we cannot help the flight times nor the time taken to exit the airport. As for the extra person the villa advert states 8 people and nowhere does it state the price is per person We did not touch any of the food purchased. We got a great villa within 2 hours of arriving at your premises. But we waited till morning to say we...
Read moreWe had a lovely 1-week stay in Casa Rose this August. The rooms' cleanliness and overall equipment was impeccable. The latter included many sets of dishes, glasses, cutlery, kitchen appliances (some of which brand new), boardgames, and cleaning utensils such as dishwasher tabs, detergent, trash bags, etc, which in our experience is not the norm. Our two children (aged 1 and 3) had a great - and most importantly - safe time as all the stairs and access to the pool/chillout/barbeque area were secured by lockable gates. In fact, Rachel and Gary even installed another gate in the back of the house during our stay to further increase the kids' safety without us having to ask. In general, they were really attentive and responsive to any question or request we had. They cared a lot about our privacy. If we hadn't asked so many questions, we wouldn't have even realised they were staying at the same property. They offered a free water service where they replaced a 20l bottle of water in the kitchen three times. This way we had easy access to warm or cold water at any time without having to buy or carry dozens of smaller bottles during the week - a convenience we have never experienced in any other holiday home. Thanks a lot and keep your good work up,...
Read moreExceptional Hosts. We spent 2 glorious weeks at this lovely villa where we were treated as part of the family by the wonderful hosts Rachel and Garry. The villa is in a good location about 20 minutes walk from the main beach at El Arenal and a similar distance from the old quaint town where there were some beautiful restaurants, a further 15 min walk gets you to Fossa beach and the port where there are several nice fish restaurants. The villa is exceptionally well equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and all the crockery and utensils you need to make your stay memorable. Outside there is a good sized pool with plenty of sun beds and an outside kitchen with seating area complete with barbecues, fridge and dishwasher. When we arrived we were blown away by the thoughtful provisions provided, way more than you would normally expect and Rachel and Garry were happy to take us supermarket shopping the first morning to top up on our alcoholic needs. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we would highly recommend this villa in the lovely town of Calpe, a destination very much unknown by most people, but we’ll...
