We simply cannot say enough good things about this Kimpton property. From the staff to the accommodations, the food & beverage options to the landscaping & spa, everything was fantastic. A last minute choice, we are so glad we made the trip and hope to return soon!
From the moment we were brought to the front of the property, we knew we had made a good choice. The property, its parking lot, edifice, & landscaping, was in immaculately kept condition. The entrance is humble with only some orange trees, shrubbery, vines, and some small understated branding.
This hotel is located in an isolated, quiet residential neighborhood, nearly a half of an hour from the more active city of Palma, & it offers a wonderful serenity. Coming in the off tourist season as we did made it even quieter. For those who might wish to explore the island, beyond the resort, parking for the rental car you will want is inexpensive overnight.
The staff was truly wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The guest-facing team’s collective vibe really felt just right. Fancy enough, informal enough, real. Alina made us feel genuinely welcome. We loved seeing the enthusiasm Aitara showed for the brand. Miguel, history scholar, was very social & made us feel quite comfortable. Laura, the front office manager, was very kind, as she aided us with modifying our airport transportation and check out. Special thanks to Carolina S., who not only answered our usual guest questions but also took time to show some room types & explain a great deal about the property. Our stay would truly not have been the same without her. We thank all these any others who may have contributed to making our experience what it was. We felt the #kimptonlove
We were assigned a “King Premium” room type. We slept in a King bed, watched television from the sofa (where a third person could reasonably sleep), and snacked on an amenity at the small dinette table provided in the room. It had a balcony for lounging with a nice view and the fully stocked minibar offered many drink options. The bathroom included a rain shower w/ separate tub & direct bathroom access to the balcony. Design elements were chosen from the locality and create a stylish & modern, yet relaxed feel. Other accommodation options were available. We learned to book the Presidential Suite if one would like the private hot tub on your balcony and your own olive tree for martinis. Essential or classic rooms are perfect for the restaurant, bar, pool, gym, or spa-dweller, but the view may not be optimal from your room. Families may prefer a couple of essential rooms, since some of those do have connecting doors. If hammocks are your thing, corner rooms with private gardens offer those as well. There’s sure to be a room type for just about most travelers.
F&B: 5/5. Excellent. The Food & Beverage at this hotel is wonderful, and the restaurant staff is as great as that of the hotel.
Kimpton Brand Programs: 5/5 Excellent. The brand programs met or exceeded expectations at this property. We would choose this brand again based upon our experience at this property.
IHG Chain Program alignment- 5/5. Excellent. IHG OneRewards program guidelines were followed. Benefits were delivered per the T&C, like Diamond breakfast, and Milestone Reward F&B credits were accepted.
Housekeeping- 5/5 Excellent. The property was clean, as were the rooms we saw, including ours. The bathroom was clean & inviting. This hotel participates in IHG’s “Make A Green Choice”
Maintenance- 5/5. Excellent. No outstanding maintenance items were evident.
Grounds & Landscaping. 5/5 Excellent. The hotel has beautiful, lush grounds. The gardener tends the botanical gardens which reach around the entire back side of the property and include courtyard gardens & a bamboo maze.
Pool/Fitness/Spa: 5/5. Excellent. There are three pools, an expansive fitness center that includes a yoga/bike class studio, & a spa. The exterior pools close once the season cools, as does the pool bar. This hotel is also adjacent to both tennis courts and...
Read moreI bought a Breakfast&Spa voucher for two people. We’re residents of the island and enjoy doing these occasional days out at hotels. Overall this experience was disappointing, not because of the staff, the staff and service was fine here (rare in Mallorca), but because the breakfast was way below 5* standard. The positives about the breakfast were the fruits. They were fresh and tasty. The hot breakfast, on the other hand, presented the cheapest school sausages and bacon, amongst beans, hash browns and very depressing looking mixed veg. The yogurt tasted very cheap and almost vinegary. The inescapable music was too loud but the staff did turn it down when asked. There was the option of A La Carte eggs (Benedict and Royale, for example) but I can’t comment as I didn’t try them. Perhaps they may have been 5, I don’t know. There were some very generic looking sweet pastries and a small selection of fairly decent bread. Honestly, the hot buffet at Premier Inn’s in the U.K. are better, and they’re £10.99. Breakfast for 2 people and two hours at the indoor pool/spa (no treatments included of course) for €150 meant that this voucher unfortunately fell considerably under par for a new 5 hotel. The spa was fine, but that’s as descriptive as I feel I can be about it. We went out to the recently planted gardens in the back and these were great. Very well laid out and very much in keeping with the wonderful Mallorcan backdrop of the Galatzo. The outdoor swimming pool was also very attractive but hidden in every 4 yards of surrounding foliage were speakers pumping out that must-have music again. I asked if the volume could at least he turned down here as well. It couldn’t. It is almost impossible to find hospitality in Mallorca without utterly inappropriate and unnecessary music being blasted out. When you’re just wanting to unwind with nature’s playlist of lapping waves or birdsong, you’re bombarded with beats and shrieking vocals. I don’t like to give poor reviews, especially for establishments that have just recently opened, as this has. Perhaps these are still teething problems but if you’re going to present 5 stars, and their prices, alongside very cheap food (I can only comment on the breakfast) then I owe it to other people reading reviews to be as honest as I can. Perhaps we’ll try again in 6 months and see if there’s been any...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh, what an absolute dream it is to return to the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca! My girlfriend and I were here just last weekend, and we couldn’t resist coming back for an even more breathtaking experience, ready to weave more unforgettable memories into our love story. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a slice of paradise that wraps you in luxury, charm, and pure enchantment. From the moment we arrived, the general manager, Alejandro, worked his magic, orchestrating a stay that felt like a fairy tale. His warmth and dedication elevated every moment, making us feel like royalty. Our server, Ulises, was an absolute gem, sharing his local knowledge with such passion that we didn’t just enjoy the hotel’s world-class amenities—we dove headfirst into Palma’s electrifying nightlife, creating memories that sparkle brighter than the Mediterranean itself. And let’s talk about Charlotte, the restaurant manager, whose 5-star service turned every meal into a culinary masterpiece. The dishes? Pure artistry, each bite a symphony of flavors that danced perfectly with the restaurant’s sophisticated yet cozy vibe. The spa was a haven of bliss, with treatments that melted away every ounce of stress, leaving us floating on cloud nine. The adult-only pool was our serene oasis, a tranquil escape where time seemed to pause. And the gym? A fitness lover’s dream, packed with cutting-edge equipment that could rival any elite training center. Our room was a stylish sanctuary—flawless, chic, and so comfortable it felt like a warm embrace after a day of exploring Palma’s vibrant streets. This is hands-down our second favorite hotel in the world, just a whisper behind The Brando in French Polynesia, and that’s only because of The Brando’s otherworldly lagoon. But in every other way—staff, service, and experiences—Kimpton Aysla Mallorca reigns supreme, outshining even our wildest expectations. It’s the ultimate retreat to recharge, reconnect, and fall even deeper in love. Jessa and I are already counting down the days until we return to this dazzling gem. If you’re dreaming of a luxurious, soul-reviving escape, look no further—Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is pure perfection. Thank you for another unforgettable chapter...
