Casa de Grande — Hotel in Cambados

We were spending some days in the renowned wine village of Cambados and, after looking into some other places, we (fortunately) decided to stay in Casa de Grande.||The house is just 200 meters down of a cellar with magnificent views of the sea and the vineyards.||||Inma, the owner, is really charming and willing to help you with any questions you might have.||Rooms really wide and equipped with nice furniture and beds.||You can stay in an en-suite or share bathroom but we went for the en-suite (10€ more expensive).||Buffet breakfast included. Local bread is amazing!!!!! ||Inma also makes fresh orange juice (not bottled) every morning. ||||BTW, they say Cambados is the best place in Galicia to eat seafood and there are some places around that offer not only seafood but the traditional (and delicious) 'empanada', a sort of baked meat, fish or seafood pie. ||Enjoy a piece of empanada together with a Estrella de Galicia beer (best beer in Spain, in my modest opinion) and you will be ready to walk 100 Camino...

The owner was very friendly and was there to greet us when we checked-in. We were the only ones staying in the house the first night so had the pick of which room we liked, the room we chose was at the back of the house and was very large and comfortable. We are very early risers and the owner accommodated our request for breakfast at 07:30, the breakfast was excellent with fresh orange juice and good coffee. The house is beautiful, we stayed 2 nights but would be perfect for a much longer stay. Garage parking underneath the house was...

Las habitaciones muy grandes y con baño enooooooooorme.||Tiene decoración clásica, pero todo el mobiliario está en perfectas condiciones.||El desyuno impresionante para el precio: maquina de café "de las buenas", dos tostadores de pan para ocho habitaciones (más que en muchos hoteles¡¡¡¡), pan gallego del mejor, aceite, tomate, pan de molde, jamón, chorizo, queso, dulce casero combinado con dulces más industriales (para todos los gustos), agua fría en abundancia, zumo de naranja recien exprimido que sobraba todos los días, fruta, yogures, cereales....en fin...perfecto.||Tiene habitaciones en planta baja, planta primera y segunda. En la segunda planta si coges las cuatro que hay, están aisladas del resto de la casa con una puerta. Opción muy intersante para grupos grandes.||¿Lo mejor de la casa?. Su dueña Inma. Solo se preocupaba por intentar que estuvieses de maravilla en todo momento y, además, solo estaba cuando se la necesitaba pues vive cerca y venía a recibirte, a preparar el desayuno y cuando te vas. Encantadora. Además nos resolvió un problema mayúsculo que tuvimos y que no tenía nada que ver con ella ni con la casa. Otra persona no se hubiese portado así. PAra rematar, le dijimos que en dónde se podía encargar el pan para llevar y nos regaló cuatro panes de maás de medio kilo cada uno¡¡¡¡¡||¿Tiene algo malo?. Por poner un pero, está al lado de la carretera general y esta tiene mucho tráfico...pero a cambio está al lado de un café/bar/tomacopas de lo mejor de Cambados y a 500 m de las Bodegas de Martín Codax.||Totlamente...
