We have just returned from spending three nights in this wonderful boutique hotel. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Steve and Martin are the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is in a beautiful rural location in wonderful countryside. There is a lovely salt water pool with plenty of loungers on which to sunbathe. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had dinner on all three nights that we stayed, which was prepared and cooked by Martin and each meal was delicious. Breakfast too was very enjoyable with a good selection of dishes from which to choose. We felt pampered and thoroughly spoilt. There is a very comfortable seating area outside the dining room where you can enjoy a drink (or two). The dining room itself is elegant and comfortable. Meals are served on beautiful china which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. We intend going back next year, both in September and for Christmas. Steve and Martin really know how to treat their guests and it was a pleasure to meet them and spend some time getting to know them. An added bonus/attraction is their rescue dogs - they are great fun! Do try to visit this wonderful hotel if you have the...
Read moreMartin and Steve are professional and friendly hosts who made us so welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything was absolutely faultless. an amazing boutique hotel set in gorgeous countryside close to the towns of Caniles and Baza. A bit trickey to get to on the narrow lanes. But when you arrive, you are welcomed by the nicest of people and the beautiful Casa Lucia Taken there by British friends for a birthday celibration and a real English Afternoon tea. First time for us. The afternoon tea was a feast of Tasty savouries, beautiful dainty cakes and sweet treats. The Victoria sponge was light as a feather. Our favourite was the individual trifles. All wonderful!! We spent all afternoon at the Casa and really didn't want to leave as the atmosphere was very relaxed and tranquil. Have to return and spend a night or two to taste the dinner and relax. Thank you...
Read moreI visited Casa Lucia for a birthday treat a few weeks ago. Omg what a treat it was too! The other 3 people with me had already been but as a Casa Lucia virgin I was amazed by the neo traditional splendor of the grounds despite the horrendous storms and flooding of the previous month. Inside the lavish splendour continued, each room beautifully furnished with flare and attention to detail. The afternoon tea was wonderful!! Tasty savouries. Beautifully dainty cakes and sweet treats. The Victoria sponge was a light as a feather. My personal favourite was the individual trifles as they reminded me so much of the trifles my mother used to make whenever I went home for a special occasion. I enjoyed the hospitality so much that we are returning this week for Sunday lunch for an anniversary meal. I...
