Masia Nur - Sitges Hill Retreats — Hotel in Canyelles

Unfortunately i was never able to stay at this place since my trip was for summer 2026. The place looks absolutely stunning and seems to be in a prime location. But i must say the entire process from the beginning of booking until the end where everything was cancelled, was an absolute nightmare. The process started on air bnb where i booked and paid half the stay. Later was cancelled and reservation process was taken off air bnb where the nightmare continued. Unfortunately airbnb doesn’t allow for reviews to be made if the stay never happened so this review is my only avenue to let people know. There seems to be intense internal conflict between the owners which was quite obvious from day one. Robert was an absolute dream to work with. He was kind, patient and understanding and truly knows what customer service is. But that Ton is dreadful. As i told air bnb, He harassed and called me so much, had he been in the US i would have filed a restraining order. And had this been a US business i would have sued them for the horrific business practices and how they cancelled on me. in case there is any doubt, I have screenshots of ALL the messages from Ton that he later deleted on airbnb and whatsapp. This property has very heavy restrictions so caution if you were thinking of a late night wedding or party. We were fine with restrictions, and would simply ask if it was possible to have a late afternoon traditional pre wedding cocktail gathering on property (as seen on their youtube and IG) but unfortunately they were not being very clear in their responses and each owner had conflicting responses. One said yes and the other said no because they somehow took that as me being sneaky and wanting to throw a massive party. I even told them if it wasn’t possible, to please recommend some restaurants where i could host my family which Robert did and i thought we had moved on. Air bnb was very gracious in their attempt to rectify the situation and provided an AMAZING solution ( which i will not publicly display). There is so much to go into but this is enough to advise you all of what you’re getting into because i wish i would have seen this prior to my booking. Ton will attempt to bully his way out of this review like he has probably done to so many others. But this information has to be seen by future interested guests. We were at a beautiful wedding of friends here in September. The location is lovely and the house we stayed in was very comfortable. I have read the comments in the previous review - and the response from the owner. Based on our experience, if you want to hire this venue for a wedding it should be for a daytime/early evening event only…..

This venue is in a residential area and it is clear that some of the neighbours do not like noise in the evening (despite being in Spain where eating, socialising etc start late in the evening and go on later into the night compared to other places in Northern Europe). Our brides were called at 9pm with a complaint about noise…. Even though the music had moved inside by this point and the talking levels outside were not raised. They were aware of the noise restrictions and had complied with the ‘rules’ however there were still complaints. It felt very unfair that the two brides - who should have been having the happiest, most carefree evening of their lives, were worrying about complaints, the police etc….. I understand that the owners tell potential clients about this and there is a contract etc, but the reality - despite complying with the rules - was not good. As I have already said, if you want to have a beautiful wedding, which is celebrated in the daytime up to early evening, then this is a great location. The external areas are gorgeous and presumably a major draw for celebrations here…. So if you wish to have outdoor dancing, talking with friends and family etc be very aware...

We stayed at Masia Nur for our company Workation and absolutely loved it!

The property itself is stunning. Several beautiful villas surrounded by nature, with a big pool, BBQ area, and lots of space to gather as a group or enjoy some quiet moments. Everything felt very private and peaceful, yet Sitges and Barcelona are only a short (car) drive away.

A special highlight was the support and communication with Ton and the team. From the very first contact to our departure, everything was smooth, helpful, and professional. Every question was answered quickly, and we always felt well taken care of.

The location worked perfectly for a large group like ours (18 people). We especially appreciated:

the very well-equipped houses with lots of charm and character

plenty of outdoor space for games, team activities, and dinners

the pool and garden area, which became our favorite spot during and after work

access to supermarkets and restaurants just a short (car) drive away

Masia Nur gave us the perfect mix of relaxation, inspiration, and team bonding. We highly recommend it for both private stays and company retreats. It’s a truly special place that combines nature, comfort, and hospitality in the best way.
