Lovely hotel, the best if you are staying in the area of Empuriabrava. The room was nice. It had an interesting glass wall that separates the toilet and the room, quite cool. King-size bed with clean bedding, super comfy pillows, small balcony where you can chill... It has a unique swimming pool terrace right by the canals which includes an exclusive dock for 2 yatchs and smaller boats. By the terrace there’s the hotel restaurant Noray. The food is very exquisite, one of the best in the area, within a reasonable price range. Really enjoyed having breakfast (AMAZING breakfast), lunch AND dinner in this restaurant. The restaurant manager was super kind to us, and the attention given to us was excellent. Also, the pairing of the wines was really amazing! The solarium upstairs has a jacuzzi. By the solarium there is a big terrace where you can enjoy barbecues organized by the hotel restaurant. Honestly I found very little room for improvement when it came to service and quality. 100% recommend it!...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible room.||The hotel port salins or expedia do not mention how terrible standard room is. The room is worse than motel 6 or days inn room.||All room pictures posted on expedia and google are the best rooms. The standard room is terrible and is like servant quarters.||This is misleading information for customers||There is no mention of options to pick a water view room on expedia. (Apparently water view rooms are the only nice rooms in this hotel. Expedia does not give the option for water view room to pick)||Now I cannot even cancel this 5 night stay as expedia and hotel already took the money and refuse to refund and by this time all other nice hotels are already booked up.||Hotel wants to charge $60 more per night if a water view room becomes available tomorrow. For that price, I could have booked a much better place 2 weeks back when I was...
Read morePort salins - sheer joy to be back after practically a year's abscence due to sucessive confinements and inability to travel. What can I say? It's Spain's Venice but with an immense beach facing Roses Bay. Hemmed in by the Pyrenees, you have a microclimate. Less wind than on the French side of the Pyrenees so many pleasurable afternions on the beach in the summer with a pleasant breeze but rarely eating sand unless the transmontana is blowing in which case you better off going shopping(many boutiques to choose from) or visit the many spectacular sites in Cataluyna. My favorite is to take a day or two in Barcelona and visit all the Gaudi sites, enjoy the local restaurants ans seep in the sun and sea( Costa Brrava has a spectacular coast line) Anyway my idea of heaven. Worth...
