A great self-catering option (stayed for just under a week). Spacious rooms, with sympathetic restoration (some may find it a little too rustic but was surprisingly insect, lizard and arachnid-free). Good sound-proofing. Slightly variable shower temperature keeps you on your toes. Only one room appeared to have an outside dining option - not ours, which was the only very slight disappointment on hot nights (worth trying to book the 'long' room to have this). Great to have an oven for lazy supermarket pizza nights. Missed not having bowls and a sharp knife but made do with cereal-in-a-cup and Swiss Army. Everything else worked well. Microwave needed a clean inside, but really no drama.|Wonderful pool - very clean and safe for children - several sunset swims.|Easy 20-minute walk to Constantina for restaurant/bar options (don't forget a torch). Lora del Rio a 25-minute drive and free, safe parking at station for trips to Córdoba and Seville (45-60 mins on air-con trains) as well as big supermarket (Mercadona). Short drive North to lovely walking trails (waterfalls and rock formations). Typical villages dotted around Sierra Norte for coffee stops and tapas.|Very hands-off management, which suited us, and important not to expect hotel service e.g. linen changes. Wasn't clear who to contact and how if there were any issues during stay though.|Felt like good value for money. Would definitely recommend for an authentic, historical experience...

We had a 3 day business meeting in Los Pozos de la Nieve in May 2013, with 15 participants from around Europe and US. The overall experience was beyond expectations. The service with friendly and professional attention to every participant's individual needs, and the atmosphere of a authentic ancient building carefully restored with a loving eye for its history and the clever thinking of modern needs, will not easily be matched by larger hotels or well-known high ranking chains. The owners provided full organizational support from pick-ups from Malaga and Sevilla airports and train stations, touring the old town of Sevilla, booking restaurants and arranging medical help for a guest who suffered a sudden toothache also driving her to the local health facility. They served welcome drinks, aperitifs, made breakfast, prepared coffee breaks and lunches and cooked a fantastic diner, unanimously rated by the guests as the best meals they during the entire stay. All of this was done with a smile, a friendly word and attention to all table needs, keeping glasses filled, food warm on the plates and plentiful. The place itself was beautiful with individually decorated guest rooms, an inviting meeting room, spacious surroundings for strolling, sitting at the pool, even jogging and incredible sights. A place to relax and to our experience also to work offering a tranquility that inspires the mind and the soul!...

Los Pozos was an incredible and very special place for my husband and I. We held our wedding on the property and all of our guests stayed at the individual apartments. Such a fun place to relax and unwind in nature. Some nights we cooked in the self catering apartments and other nights we used the in house catering. Dirk and Dominique went above and beyond for our needs. Dirk is a master chef and the entire staff works hard to pay attention to detail and combine rustic cuisine with wonderful service. If we could do it all again we would! The only regret I have is not having Dirk cater our ACTUAL wedding day. ||||We live in New York and Dirk was very accommodating and worked well with our wedding planner to make sure everything was in order. Dirk is creative and likes to use his own imagination when planning meals and events. This may be hard for perfectionists but I recommend trusting Dirk's judgment - he knows what he is doing! ||||There is nothing bad to say about the historic property. Pool and rooms are amazing. We loved our wedding week and hope to go back one day. If you are planning a unique, intimate, and small wedding celebration I HIGHLY recommend Loz Pozos....
