Hotel Borleña — Hotel in Corvera de Toranzo

This review concerns the restaurant, El Mesón de Borleña, part of the hotel organisation, and just across the road from it. We came across this wonderful restaurant about 40 minutes drive on the N623 from Santander. Although about to host a party of 30, they welcomed us, and attended to us as if we were the only ones there! We loved this little family run hotel, so quiet and clean and with their fantastic little restaurant. A little bit Laura Ashley, beautiful. Javier really looks after his guests.Its a good place for a walk along the nearby river where there is also a cycleway. Estuvimos hospedados mi mujer y yo una noche en la habitación 101, que por cierto la solicitamos al hacer la reserva y nos encantó. Es una habitación que no es muy grande pero es muy confortable, tiene una decoración con mucho encanto y el baño es bastante amplio. Hay que destacar la gran cantidad de ameties que te dejan. El holl del hotel tiene una decoración que está cuidada al detalle, en donde hay que destacar la sala para descansar o ver la tele que es realmente preciosa. Las comidas se hacen en el mesón que está justo enfrente del hotel a unos 10 metros de distancia. El desayuno que te sirven con la habitación es sensacional con café, zumo, tostadas de tomate o mermelada, embutido y unos enormes sobaos de la tierra que están buenísimos. La noche que entramos nos quedamos a cenar y espectacular. Todos los productos de su gastronomía son de una buenísima calidad, y el trato de todo el personal fué de chapeau, incluida la dueña que vive en el hotel y es una persona realmente entrañable.
