Can Font de Muntanya — Hotel in Cruïlles, Monells i Sant Sadurní de l'Heura

Paradise! Spent a wonderful 24 hours at Can Font de Muntanya, met at the gate by the welcome committee, Cristine with 2 very friendly dogs. She made check in a breeze while we left our bags in our beautiful rooms. Our room Colibri had a terrace with a view over the countryside to the Mediterranean and the Medes islands. We had a refreshing swim followed by a shower and a drink on the terrace. We were celebrating a birthday and were joined by a group of friends for dinner. The meal was amazing, the food as outstanding, we had shared starters that were so fresh and tasty and a huge variety. The main courses were fabulous, everyone thought theirs was the best. A beautiful cheesecake/ birthday cake followed by delicious petit fours all made by the chef who came to talk to us. We slept well in very comfortable beds and had an excellent breakfast buffet with cooked choices as well. We will definitely be back, the staff were so friendly that you didn’t feel as if you were in a hotel but...

Can Font de Muntanya és un lloc excepcional. Està acondicionat i pensat al més mínim detall, on qui busca pau i tranquilitat, la trobarà. És un lloc idíl·lic per passar-hi un cap de setmana per desconnectar, però si un pot, per estar-s’hi tota una setmana. És un entorn que qualsevol amant de la natura, hotels amb encant o cases rurals li agradaria tenir com a propietat, i perquè no, un espai on poder-hi viure. Les vistes a les Illes Medes, i gairebé poder gaudir dels 360° de natura i pobles del voltant el fan un lloc únic. La Laura, propietària i qui porta la gestió, et rebrà amb un somriure d’orella a orella. I no pot ser per menys. Saben que ho fan bé, després de tot l’esforç que hi ha al darrera.

En el nostre cas vàrem poder gaudir d’El Mirador. Una habitació decorada i feta amb molt gust. Tot i no poder gaudir d’un cap de setmana pel que fa al temps amb una meteorologia molt bona, l’habitació disposa d’una petita terrasa amb vistes a un tros d’espai de l’hotel i les Gavarres molt maques. Ara, amb aquestes pluges de les darreres setmanes, deuen haver deixat un paisatge més verd, per tant encara més maco.

Pel que fa a l’espai bucòlic, el restaurant. La cuina del chef Michel és deliciosa. En Michel potser és un home de poques paraules, però et demostra al plat, l’amor que té per aquest ofici. Fan servir producte de temporada km0, que ells mateixos cullen de l’hort a tocar de l’hotel. La carn, també de proximitat, al nivell del que es mereix l’hotel. L’esmorzar és un autèntic festival, hi ha per triar i remenar, fan plats calents al moment d’una carta que ofereixen, o simplement pots escollir infinitat de productes que tenen al bufet, accedint a la mateixa cuina i part del menjador. En Michel i Can Font de Muntanya, o Can font de Muntanya i en Michel. Són com un allioli dels d’abans, dels que feia la iaia. Aquell allioli fet amb morter ben lligat que el podies girar i no queia res. Junts fan un viatge que sigui inoblidable, demostrant que no poden anar separats de la mà.

Pel que fa a l’accés fins a l’hotel. Vist algunes crítiques en algún lloc, és cert que no és un camí pla perquè no és una carretera asfaltada. És una pista forestal prou ample on en algún tram inclús passen dos vehicles a la vegada però no és veritat que sigui complicat arribar-hi i molt menys, que s’hagi de fer amb un vehicle tot terreny. Amb un cotxe de característiques normals, s’hi pot arribar perfectament. Les indicacions que et proporciona la Laura abans d’arribar són clares i no tenen pèrdua.

Disposen de carta d’activitats per fer a la natura(mirar de gestionar-ho al fer la reserva i no una vegada a l’hotel, per tal de poder gaudir-les i tenir disponibilitat) i servei de massatges.

We celebrated our wedding at this beautiful place, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! I found it by accident on the map, and it was love at first sight. The last 3 km of the road are a bit challenging, but it’s absolutely worth it!

The residence has a charming rustic style — every detail in the rooms is made with care and love. The hotel is located in a national park, offering breathtaking views and a well-kept, peaceful atmosphere. Our guests and we had a wonderful time staying here!

The host — and truly the heart of Can Font de Muntanya — Laura ♥️, made this event incredibly special for us. She and her amazing team helped with the organization, and everything went perfectly on time, like clockwork. Laura has excellent taste in every detail, so I trusted her completely and never regretted it.
