Casa de Barreiro — Hotel in Curtis

If I could rate higher, I would. I stayed for 3 nights when walking the Camino del Norte. The place, older style, superbly well maintained buildings, a huge bedroom, access to the whole site, equally well maintained is worth it. There is a shared kitchen for dinner and it is well equipped. Just bring your food. But what makes it special is the host Teresa who will literally go out of her way to help you. There are needs for transfers as it is a bit out of the way if you are walking the camino and she looks after all that. And, she makes great breakfast so you are really ready for the walk in the morning. For me, this was like a ray of sunshine after walking some 33 days...

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay. We had the house to ourselves and Teresa is the best hostess ever! She checked in on us early and tended to our every need. She served us a delightful breakfast and even gave us a tour of her dairy farm, which was fascinating and fun, as the system is totally automated. We highly recommend staying at Casa...

Very nice old house with beautiful garden and swimming pool and playground for kids. The host Teresa was the best, kind, friendly always trying to fulfill our needs.
