We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way from the South of Spain to Lisbon after six hours drive. The hotel had not received our booking through a third party and they were not ready to receive us. ||||They promptly accommodated us in our bedrooms, we were told we would figure out the issue with the third party the following morning once we were rested. They had contacted the third party reservation site and they were ready to check us out by the time we woke up in the morning. ||||After getting settled in our rooms we went down to the restaurant for dinner. We were sit in two tables with a coal brasserie. I needed a shower when I went back because of the smell but I really enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent. My boyfriend had partridges and he said they were delicious.||||The hotel had a lot of charm, the bed was comfortable, however the furniture was quite rudimentary. My only complaint is that the heat in the room was off when we arrived, it was extremely cold and it took forever for the room to warm up. Read moreStaff very friendly (Spanish speaking only, however, we had a sweet young waitress named Eve or Eva who did a fantastic job speaking to us in English…Restaurant here was EXCELLENT at dinner with great food, wine, desserts, and great service…breakfast is simple and delicious, room was clean and included a balcony with sliding door with small table and two chairs with pretty view of rural area with sheep grazing, a small former bullring and gorgeous sunset!) We highly recommend and will return if ever traveling in this direction again!! A very pleasant stay with very pleasant staff and a great value...
