The 25 km walk today from Granon with great conversation and company. I didn’t realize my feet were sore until I landed in Espinosa.
Finding an incredible Albergue La Taberna de Espinosa is an unforgettable experience. The dedicated couple who run this Albergue goes above and beyond. Their hospitality extends to the entire town, which gathers at the end of the day for a beer, a glass of wine, and today’s stories in the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
For just €27, you get clean and comfortable lodging in dorm-style rooms accommodating three to four people. Laundry service is available for an additional €3. There are two communal bathrooms with showers, ensuring convenience for all guests.
While the kitchen, masterfully run by the husband, offers culinary delights, there is also a shared kitchen between the three dorm rooms for those who prefer to cook their meals. However, I wouldn’t recommend missing out on the fantastic meal provided.
Dinner started with a mouthwatering pumpkin leek soup, followed by delicious garlic olive oil eggplant and cauliflower. The main course featured tender chicken served over pasta, and the meal concluded with a delectable caramel pudding for dessert. Each dish was an absolute treat for the taste buds.

Read moreYou stumble into places on the Camino that feel like a real home — and this albergue is one of them. Adel and Iver aren’t just hosts; they’re the kind of people you wish would lace up their boots and walk the whole damn road with you. Warm smiles, sharp service, and an eye for every little detail that tired pilgrims didn’t even realize they needed.

Communal dinner? Pure joy: good conversation, filling food, and wine that kept flowing just enough to loosen everyone’s Camino stories. Their homemade cakes and energy bars taste like someone’s abuela decided today she’d save your soul.
They even offer a breakfast, though I didn’t partake — maybe saving that simple pleasure for another life. Places like this are rare. They don't just host you; they remind you why you ever put on your boots in the first...

Due to the arrival of several pilgrims at thr same time, I opted to get us a late lunch although I was cautioned because dinner is st 6pm. The lunch offerings were extensive including many varieties of open-faced sandwiches, home-made granola bars, lemon and orange cake drizzled with chocolate and a full bar with two types of beer on tap. We had a wonderful lunch, then were escorted to our room. It was small. 3 sets of bunks with little space, but comfortable. Showers were hot. Dinner was exceptional. If staying again, I would skip breakfast. The hosts were very gracious and helpful. ...
