Prior to our stay, I emailed the hotel booking a set of services I read about on their website like the picnic, wine tasting and two or three dinners with special request for a piece of cake with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday.||||When we arrived, the picnic basked awaited in the room just as I had requested but there was no map (the map was mentioned on the website). We were explained where to go to enjoy it but I later heard that another couple wasn't able to find the picnic spot. The picnic was nice, yet missed a few details like a knife to open the hams and the cheeses, or napkins and such, ||||Our room was lovely and huge, had a big bath tub in the corner. We loved the room, it was spectacular and very quiet.||||The breakfast was good but it was basically the same things every morning. Service depended on the day. On the 1st morning we waited for 45 minutes before even the coffee arrived and the next day everything was brought to us within 10 minutes. Luckily, the restaurant staff were absolutely lovely!||||The wine tasting I had booked as one of the birthday surprises didn't happen although I had booked it weeks in advance. On the time when it was supposed to start, it turned out they didn't have the right staff there. This was a huge disappointment because I had the whole thing planned out which started falling apart piece by piece due to lack of attention. ||||The food at the restaurant was also inconsistent. We 1st had the larger tasting menu and the next day we chose the smaller one, but the dishes that were the same were also quite different in quality. It felt like the quality really depended on who was working that day.||||I had also requested a small piece of cake to be brought after the dinner, with a candle in it, which didn't happen. The next day I mentioned this and somehow my husband ended up getting the cake not at the restaurant but it was waiting in our room. The whole thing was just very confusing and weird.||||Also, the wine pairing with the tasting menu didn't seem to be planned through. The day after I asked about some specific wines that were served with certain dishes and they didn't know what they had as a part of the wine pairing. ||||The pool area is very nice and peaceful although also quite dirty and it wasn't really cleaned. There were the same towels, bugs and dishes for a day and a half.||||We had really high hopes and I really wanted to arrange a nice birthday stay for my husband but the whole thing was kind of sloppy and lacked care and attention, which was very disappointing. ||||I would have been happier if they said they were not able to arrange my requests instead of just doing it all wrong. ||||The way they write about the hotel and the services implies that there is a great attention to detail but at least during our 5-night stay our expectations were not met.||||I think that the best parts were the room, the pool and this one male waiter in the restaurant who...

Nice quiet small luxury hotel with only 10 rooms, every room is different with nice comfy beds, pillows and light soft duvet. Very cozy and tranquil especially when windows are open with birds singing and the leaves rustling sound among winds. The vineyard was beautiful, restaurant with amazing view overlooking the endless amazing vineyard and the endless pool. Staffs were friendly and helpful especially we had 5 big suitcases with 3 weeks trip of UK/Spain coming from HK. The hotel is called Casa Gran while the winery which owns the hotel is called MontRubi so a small tip for people with suitcase is to check in at the reception (MontRubi) without the suitcase first, then you can actually drive to the hotel building which is a different building from the reception across the road and load off the suitcase in front of the hotel with a lift if your room is above floor. We felt refreshed after the stay, they have their own amenity products which we got a few and some wine...

A boutique hotel with a nice restaurant, a wine-bar and a really wide variety of MonRubi wines, which are the essence of the whole property.

Over all the hotel is very cozy, the staff is exceptional and the room is very clean and comfortable. The location is superb, in the middle of Alt Penedès and well connected to other vineyards around the region.

I really recommend this hotel which is top at all levels! And I forgot the infinity pool and the gym.
