Casa Rural Altos Cruz de Tea — Hotel in Granadilla de Abona

We, as a family of six adults and two children, enjoyed our stay in Casa Rural de Tea very much. A very nice old style, rustic, clean villa with breathtaking views, far from the madding crowds, secluded location in the middle of nowhere, a beautiful place on top of Tenerife, ideal for people who want peace and quiet. If you want crowds, bars, restaurants and beach, this villa is not for you. The villa is located up a winding, partly very steep, single track. Suggest driver needs to be experienced and confident. Slow and steady concentrated drive. I would recommend an automatic car with audible sat nav and avoid driving in the dark. Allow at least 40 mins concentrated drive from the airport. If you are a nervous driver this villa may not be for you.

The adventurous drive is much rewarded by the panoramic views from the villa. You can clearly see the sea and villages, very peaceful and quiet, especially in the evening you don't hear anything, its totally silent. Each early morning a view of a sea of clouds.

The villa has lots of space a large lounge with a large sat TV, dining area with a glass roof which has an automated sun shade. Nice large outdoor terrace area with a small raised pool, several loungers, a few chairs, small table and a sun shade umbrella. A raised veranda at the front of the villa has tables and chairs providing another area for al fresco eating, or simply relaxing, taking in the panoramic views or watching the stars. The villa has three twin bedroom apartments each has a toilet, shower and small lounge area with a sofa which converts into a double bed. A forth large twin bedroom without toilet/shower overlooks the main large lounge area. Wi-fi available throughout the villa and terrace area. One large kitchen well equipped including stove top coffee, kettle, microwave, toaster, gas stove with oven, large fridge with decent size freezer compartment. A small basic kitchen unit within “Ted2” apartment. A washing machine and iron located in a utility room. The villa interior has many stairs and steps, which may be an issue for people with mobility problems. Two sets of stairs from bedroom to toilet. Unfortunately, during our stay a previous repair of the toilet flush in Ted2 failed and we had to use water valve to flush the toilet. The outdoor BBQ was great for cooking, the terrace at the side of the villa provides an outdoor eating area.

Watch out. This property is advertised in multiple locations but is managed via an incredibly rude, patronising agent. Here are the main issues: The pool is tiny, very cold. The house is like a hostel. Items in the kitchen are broken. The water is cold, the bedding and towels are miserable. The WiFi is flaky and useless, and I had asked im advance if it was OK for work and they said yes. Well it is not OK. One of the bedrooms stank of dirty feet. The large lounge stank of stale tobacco. The decor is minimal, wiring is sus. The long road leading up to the 'villa' is precarious and challenging to drive. And finally as you're not allowed to place rubbish outside and cannot flush tissue paper down the toilets, you have the luxury of keeping that used toilet roll with you as your guest for the duration of your stay. The house information booklet was unhelpful. This was highlighted to the agent who initially refused to attend at the address. After that time while we were out they then texted to offer a visit. Later they claimed that it was us who has refused to meet. They would never have been able to resolve everything so we left early to prevent our precious time being ruined. Eine wunderschöne Finca oberhalb von Granadilla in Cruz de Tea. Wir haben hier einen wunderschönen erholsamen Urlaub erleben dürfen, weit ab vom Tourismus des Südens von Teneriffa. Einen kleinen Abzug dafür dass es etwas wenig Gläser und Müslischalen gab. Auch wenn wir nur zu zweit waren hätten wie gerne etwas weniger Geschirr gespült. Aber das nur am Rande. Wir fanden es klasse das 6 Betten bezogen waren und das es genug Handtücher gab. Das wirkte auf uns sehr gemütlich und vor allem nicht kleinlich! Wir können die Finca zum Seele baumeln lassen nur empfehlen . Wir buchten über Top Canaren auch dies war eine Einschränkung hervorragend. Immer zu erreichen und äußerst hilfsbereit...
