Casa de Aldea Pisón de Fondón — Hotel in Grau / Grado

We spent 5 days in the lovely Magnolia house and wish we could have stayed longer. Carmen greeted us upon our arrival, which was quite late in the evening, and was so warm and friendly. She had provided us food for breakfast the next day as well as milk, butter, cheese and olive oil.

We absolutely loved the stand-alone bath in the bedroom, and were so impressed with the shower. The attention to detail throughout the entire house is second-to-none.

There are many animals surrounding the house ranging from horses to cats. The cats, which I believe are looked after by the local neighbours, were very thin and had fleas but were provided food, water, and shelter.

Lots of beautiful walks to go on too, quite hilly but are great exercise and you have stunning views of the mountains.

We visited Oviedo, Gíjon, Cudillero, Avíles, Playa de Aguilar and Playa de Bahínas - all of which we thoroughly recommend visiting. Roughly about an hour’s drive to each from the house.

We did a 4-hour bear sighting experience with Someido Experience in the Somiedo National Park which cost €50 per person. We had a fantastic guide and even saw a young female bear!

It was always a pleasure to return to the house and settle in for the evening. We will definitely be recommending Carmen’s beautiful place to friends and family, and hope to return...

Hemos pasado 10 días en Pisón de Fondón que nunca vamos a olvidar. La casa es tal como se describe e incluso mejor cuando la ves. El entorno inmejorable, aún más ahora con las precauciones derivadas de la pandemia. Está decorada respetando el ámbito rural y sin que falte de nada. Las atenciones de Carmen lo hacen ya insuperable, cercana en todo momento y siempre dispuesta a ayudarte y orientarte en como aprovechar el tiempo en los alrededores. Ya no es solo la casa, también el patio con el que cuenta que es magnífico, así como el jardín que invita al descanso y disfrute de la paz y el sonido del campo.
