Restaurante/Albergue del Serpis — Hotel in l'Orxa / Lorcha

Was very much looking forward to having a drink and bite to eat here half way through the Via Verde walk. After 12km of walking we did an additional half an hour into town only to find this business entirely closed (though the front gate wasn't actually locked so their dog nearly bit my girlfriend). Update your opening hours you numpties!

...And in response to the owners reply, why would I call or check a schedule when google maps showed you as being open. Afterall a hotel/restaurant being open in the afternoon is not such an unusual thing is it?! In regards to the dog, I grant you most dogs which run towards you barking are probably not going to actually bite you but seeing as she had seen a Spanish dog do exactly that to my right thigh just a few years ago she was hardly going to wait around to see just how poorly trained this particular dog was. Let's face it, the spanish treat dogs appallingly, they mostly seem to serve the purpose of a security device which you feed and water sparingly. Oh and no my girlfriend wouldn't bite the dog, like myself she is...

This is a real gem of a hostel. €14.50 a night, clean, AC in the rooms, large lounge. Un enclave privilegiado en el pueblo de L'Orxa, comida riquísima, albergue limpio y cuidado, buenos precios y dos nuevos gerentes, Rubén y Adrián, que te hacen sentir como en casa.

Venimos de pasar un finde de desconexión brutal: por la mañana, rutas en bici por la vía Verde del Serpis (y otros recorridos). Por las tardes/noches, lectura, café y cervecitas arreglando el mundo en una terraza con vistas maravillosas que entierran el estrés con el que muchos vivimos.

El albergue cuenta con una empresa colaboradora de alquiler de bicis y piraguas, y un entorno custodiado por el río Serpis, más frondoso de lo que podrías imaginar tratándose de nuestra Comunidad Valenciana, asociada al habitual 'secarral'.

Con lugares mágicos a tiro de piedra, como el pantano de Beniarrés, el Barranc de L'encantada, o el Circ de La Safor.
