Hotel ruta del Poniente — Hotel in Loja

This hotel is great for a good night sleep it is very cosy and compacted rooms but just good enough for the sleep unfortunately we did not use the breakfast option bc we got up early and left .. but here comes the service part it was extremely good bc my car broke down with a MCU fault which means that my entire engine froze to shutdown and I couldn’t start my car again my car is a modern car with a start/stop button system and it showed that all my safety systems had a malfunction I could not move my car anymore for more tha half an hour I was stunned that this happened en my car which is a Audi A4 avant- from 2016 which is quit modern equipped with all kinds of safety systems the lady or owner helped me by calling her brother in law and her sister out of bed (mind that it was around 01:00 in the night/ morning and I couldn’t get the communication right bc I don’t speak Spanish and she didn’t speak English but a litle help from google translate (thnx google ) we quite got alright till the sister and her husband arrived and the husband spoke very well and excellent English so we got helped. After a litle while ( some 35 min) the car had cooled down and the system of my car got started again (I think automated reboot or so) but the lady / owner was so nice and helpfully so calmed my wife and daughter and took her inside the hotel to stay safe inside and watched them as I tried to figure out what was wrong with my car systems. So after the car started again and o took it for a litle test ride just to check Al systems I parked it at the backside of the hotel and restarted it 5 times just to be sure. It restarted Al times 6 hours later after a good night sleep and a shower we left again the owner / lady gave us discount I think because of a lesser price without the breakfast which wash very thoughtfully of hers. She will never be forgotten be us I will guarantee you that and if the occasion arrives I will return there. Mucho gracias señora you saved our night with...

We stayed here for 2 nights in June as we wanted to be near Loja. Firstly it is located by the A-92 road but without any road noise that we noticed, simply slip off the road at junction 178 or 177 and you are quickly there. Parking is easy on the roads around the hotel, Cuesta de la Palma is a small village and we had no problem parking whatever time we returned to the hotel. The hotel appears very well cared for, our room was large and in a modern style unlike some of the hotels we have stayed in outside the big cities which can seem dated. But the stand out feature of this hotel is the staff, we found Christina to be a fabulous hostess, extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet. For breakfast we ordered tostado y aceite y salsa de tomate con Zumo de naranja and Christina immediately offered us a plate of perfect fruit to start. We are both vegans and for dinner she even offered to go out and buy us some tofu products, we declined as there was plenty on the menu that they could adapt for us, but it was the offered that counted. We have arranged our next trip so that we can stay there again...

I stayed in this hotel in 2014. It offered very good value for money, was beautiful, exceptionally clean and there were no parking issues; although slightly difficult to find. The staff was friendly and helpful, it had excellent food and breakfast of choice is free. The location is calm, and drive from Malaga is 20 minutes.
