We too had a little difficulty finding the hotel but when we did, what a lovely surprise! Lluis, the manager, couldn't be more welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. We loved that we were the only English guests in the hotel/restaurant as we much prefer to learn about the area, its history and traditions and mix with the locals, which makes for a more enjoyable travel experience all round. Our room was a good size, clean and welcoming with Wi-Fi throughout - loved watching the chickens run around outside! Lluis really went out of his way to go through the wonderful Catalan menu with us and the food was exceptional, hence why many locals were dining there too. We also tried some of Lluis' own wine, which was also exceptional and highly recommended (it was so good we brought some home!). Breakfast was included too which was the best breakfast by far we've had in a hotel. All in all, we had a wonderful 3 night stay and are so glad we booked at Turo de la Torre, which was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas. Lluis was such an amazing host, this made our stay all the more enjoyable - so a huge thank you to Lluis and also his lovely mum, who also looked after us perfectly! We highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant and will definitely be back,...
Read moreThis hotel is an old house which has been renovated to provide a restaurant with rooms. We stayed in room 2 which was very spacious, clean and had a really comfortable bed. Free water is provided in the room which is a lovely touch. The grounds are still undergoing renovation , it has a little garden area with a pool, but it does need a bit of tlc to bring it up to speed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really delicious. Luis the owner went to great lengths to explain everything to us and is a really friendly cheerful host, as are all the staff. The only downside is it's location. I imagine once it sat on the hill overlooking fields, but now a huge housing estate has been built around it and the entrance to it is from the industrial estate at the site of a massive car dealership, but, don't let that put you off , or you will miss out on...
Read moreYou’ll receive the warmest of welcomes here. Set about a mile from the town of Manresa, it has a rural feel in a fairly urban setting.|We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it was always busy and evidently very popular!|The pool area is a welcome addition and the pool is immaculate.|Breakfast was wonderful and served with a smile and fantastic service.|What let our stay down was our room. It was very basic and we didn’t sleep well unfortunately. The bathroom was dated (but clean!) but it had an off smell and we had to make sure we kept the bathroom door closed. The room clearly wasn’t the pictures we’d seen on booking.com so when booking, I’d enquire which room you are specifically getting.|Lots of...
