DO NOT STAY HERE! Enter at your own risk. We booked a room for the night and were so excited to sleep on the comfortable mattresses after a long day of walking the Camino. I lay in bed trying to fall asleep for an hour but kept feeling itchy. I turned on the light and witnessed HUNDREDS of bed bugs scattering from the pillows and sheets. Don’t make the same mistake I made. We had to leave in the middle of the night (and were locked inside!! Until we wandered around finding someone that would let us out of the building). When we came back the next morning to notify management, showing pictures of the bed bugs and pictures of the 200+ bites everywhere on my body (yes I counted) they did not seem surprised, didn’t care at all and did not want to refund the rate. Please, for your own sanity, do...

Chef took care of me twice! I arrived and the kitchen was going to close for a short break in 15 minutes. He said not to worry, that he would take orders until four. I was told at the reception desk that dinner was until 9 pm. I ordered at 8:30 and a server went to speak with the chef; she told me on Sundays the kitchen closes at 8:30, but the chef again said not to worry. He was so sweet and such a gentleman.

Receptionist was kind and made sure my key worked, thank goodness, because at first it didn’t. The place was not busy so she upgraded me to a private one bedroom with a private bathroom for the same price I had booked originally. She took my bag and was kind.

Place was clean and shower...

Basic: |1)there is no elevator, so if you are planning to do something else after “el Camino” think about your back when booking this Hotel. |2) Our room (#5) lack interruptors to charge iPhone, I watch, iPad, etc. If you book this hotel, please go with a multi charger port. |3) shower leaks, ask ahead of time for another set of towels|4) breakfast was ok, is not a buffet. Only 2 persons helping tourists so there was a delay for us to continue our Camino.|5) Far from Palas and Melide. If not planning to have dinner there book for a taxi.|6) Front desk only available in the afternoon|7) Nice patio|8) will not stay there for...

A very lovely place and very nice service. I cannot talk about the room, as we only stoped for a little food break on our way to Santiago. The food we go tasted great and the presentation was very well done. The coffees were (in my opinion) very well done, none of that overall bitter or burnt, while not being too watered down by the milk. The cake we had looked dense, while in fact was fluffy which was a delight.

Our Hostess, Anne, was most accommodating as she secured an additional room for a weary pilgrim. She managed the front desk, lively bar for locals and pilgrims and setting up for delicious dinner. The chef prepared the best chicken wings we’ve had in a while. Beds were most comfortable and rooms clean. Staff will also do your laundry if needed.

Excellent facilities, beautifully curated rooms, definitely higher standards than the rated 1 star. The terrace is great and frequented by locals. The house wine is fantastic, particularly the red one. The food is average (slightly leaning on the good side). Cod is not as usually tasty, but steaks are juicy and made of fresh meat.
