My first time on the Canary Islands and I have to say I hit the jackpot with Sol Mogán. I was looking for a base for nature and astrophotography and didn't expect I would be able to do my astrophotography from the terrace of my room. Aside from the that the location was great, 2km from Puerto de Mogán with many nice restaurants, beaches, and ocean views and close to the freeway to get to Maspalomas and the rest of Gran Canaria. And the nearby mountain road GC200 had numerous quaint small villages with restaurants as well as spectacular views which could be enjoyed by car or better yet on bicycle, but it is a long and relatively steep hill that will give you a good workout. I travelled alone, so I believe I had a smaller room, but still had a double bed, kitchenette and table and chairs, but I had all my meals on the terrace overlooking the pool and garden. The garden has many fruit trees including mango, papaya and bananas and quite a few local birds in the trees in the mornings in evenings, including a hoopoe (which was the only one I saw on my 5 day trip), as well as some pretty large lizards living among the plants. The room and bed was well equipped, clean and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was delivered to the terrace table. The only "complaint" I can come up with was the rather warm synthetic blanket which was too much for me, even with the AC on at night, so I removed the blanket and slept only under the folded duvet cover. Service was excellent, and it was a pleasure speaking to the owners who delivered the breakfast in the morning and managed the reception.

Stayed for 1 week at the end of February 2020,  APARTMENT was very good with free WIFI there was a large TV but no English channels or DVD player, no dishwasher but washing up supplies provided as was linen and towels. Comfy beds, free safe, free cleaner who comes in Mon/Wed/Fri, our room had a large sunny balcony, only negative is the showers are nowhere near as good as they look. POOL was nice but only lightly heated and the communal sun beds and grounds are very nice and well kept, no comment on the sauna or gym as never used them. RECEPTION seemed to be manned 9 – 4pm by Guillermo who speaks enough English. The apartment block has a secure keypad entrance with separate key safe inside so late arrival is not a problem as Guillermo will issue you the codes before arrival. PARKING near the apartment was not always possible when busy but always found a space at the beginning of the road a 5 minutes walk away. LOCATION just outside of Puerto Mogan best to have a car but if not the bus stops at the beginning of the road it's a Quiet location other than there is a bit of road noise from the main road, its adults only and while we were staying there were no disturbances at all. I do recommend and I would stay again.

Brilliant apartments. 2 mile walk from Puerto de Mogan and it’s a brilliant walk day or night, just take a torch because it gets a bit dark in places along the way. The apartments are very clean and well equipped with cooking facilities and a washing machine and drier. Nice bathroom with a good shower. Didn’t figure the tv out but it had one, just mostly local channels. The lady greeting us was very welcoming and helpful. We had an indoor terrace - it has a roof - that was out the back door where you can smoke if you’d like or hang your clothes out. Only downside was it’s shared with the windows of apartments above, and the people upstairs were loud at night for a bit, banging, and you could hear it through the terrace area. Nothing to major tho. Other than that, it’s a perfect place to stay and will definitely stay here again. 👏🏻👏🏻

My stay has been amazing. I am from London and work for myself, so I chose this place as I wanted to be able to relax and have a holiday over Xmas and New Year, but also do a bit of work when needed.

The location is great. It's quiet and surrounded by great mountain views. But it is only a short walk into town and the beach. Which is great for getting your steps in each day! In fact the walk into town gave me time to think each day.

The property is really well laid out, with a proper swimming pool (that you can do lengths in!) and lots of space for guests, who are all allocated their own sun loungers. All socially distanced and plenty of room, in a garden full of fruit trees! Very pretty and peaceful.

The apartment I had was modern and super clean. Not like the usual holiday apartment. Mine had nice, modern furniture, good bedding and a lovely terrace to sit or lie out on. Felt more like home to me, with great wifi, cable TV and everything you could need in the kitchen.

But the staff make this place a 5* rating. They go the extra mile. I had to work on my laptop a couple of days and I mentioned this to the manager of the property. He then brought me a small desk and even a reading light so I could work properly! He also helped me with directions, retrieving a parcel from Las Palmas (which took up a lot of his time and meant making several phone calls because I do not speak Spanish) and lots of other requests. Nothing was too much trouble and I was really grateful for the support as I was travelling on my own.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax in a super friendly setting, with some of the friendliest staff I've met. I felt safe here from a COVID perspective, but also very relaxed as it's not a big resort with lots of people coming and going constantly. Perfect if you want some downtime and an escape from the...

So the adults went on our annual kiddo free hol to gran canaria. This is the first time we have stayed in mogan and we will defo be back!!!|We stayed in apartment 1b which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This apartment has everything you could possibly want or need. The apartment was immaculate in all areas and had lots of storage for all our clothes and empty suitcases.|On arrival there was a bottle of wine waiting for us and a bottle of water already in the fridge. This was such a lovely touch especially as we had been travelling since 10am.|Nothing was too much for the hosts as we contacted them a few times, one being cos the shelf fell out of the fridge as we were loading it, the hosts took our apology and said accidents happen! |We used most of the facilities the pool, the washing machine etc and honeslty couldnt fault any of it. One day we even played connect 4 around the pool and had a game of darts.|The only downside, which i wouldnt score down for, is the parking can be a bit tricky. But it does clearly state no parking on the booking so it really is a take your chance. We hired a car and most times we managed to get parking in the designated bay however some people just parked their car on the yellow line. |This has been our first self catering hol and we most certainly will return, maybe even...
