We booked ourselves into the Montseny Suites for the last two nights of our two week holiday. We were two families, with children aged, 8, 10, 12, 15, and my eldest son of 29 years. The place suited all of us. We booked two family rooms, and a double suite which all had comfy double beds, and the family rooms an extra small room, with bunk beds. There was a lovely ensuite showeroom and WC and fully equipped kitchens and living/lounge area. Flat screen tv, coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine. The bedrooms in the family rooms, were situated so that you weren't disturbed at night by the late night chatter in the downstairs bar. However, not in the double room. They were spotlessly clean, had lovely bedding, plenty of soft towels and fabulous Bath and Shower products along with an emergency set including comb, sewing set etc. On site there was a Restaurant and Bar, which served everything from warm Croissant for Breakfast to Tapas, to Burgers to Paella. A lovely walk along the river, past picnic tables with your own Barbeque cubicle, complete with wood and charcoal pack. Very popular on the Sunday morning that we walked past. There was a pool table, football table, table tennis table, (although the Bats left a lot to be desired!) The Swimming Pool admittance was included in your room charge, and was great. Plenty of room for all ages and abilities to swim, paddle or dive off the board. Plenty of space for parents to sit at the side and watch, or sunbathe and even your own table to sit out and have a beer or coffee and watch the proceedings. Nearby you could do a number of activities from kayaking, bike riding(free), trekking, air rifles and archery. Archery was expertly led by Sergio, who was fun, patient and making an excellent attempt at English.||The whole place is family run, and is overseen by Carlos, who goes out of his way to give you a warm welcome, and is always rushing about and dealing with all matters of running such a place with a smile on his face. There is a stunning restaurant further up the mountain, 'Can Besa', about 5 minutes over a bumpy road, which is run by Carlos's Mother. The view is unbelievable, the food excellent, the staff wonderful (Monica??, Carlos's sister), and the prices a snip. The opening times are variable, so you need to book with Carlos to ensure a table. Definitely a place for a weekend, and even a week. We were so lucky to have found this lovely place. Thank you Carlos and your lovely family. Pamela, Chris, Elliott,...
Read moreIf you're interested to see the authentic Spanish white trash experience, then this place is your place. Otherwise - AVOID.||||We booked this crappy place for my birthday weekend, thinking that a nice, relaxed weekend in the countryside would be great. Our stay was everything but relaxed. ||||This borderline scam "suite" is an apartment building in a camping site. People come here with tents and caravans and basically spend the entire day getting drunk on cheap alcohol, shouting at each other, and making sure you can't sleep until 3am. ||||The second night of our stay they even organized a party right below our "suite" that should have ended "early at 1am" as was told by the manager, but lasted well after 3am. We had the dubious pleasure of not being able to sleep thanks to Summer 2004 hits and drunk people shouting.||||CONS||- Extreme noise from white trash camping site guests||- You won't sleep before 3am||- Horrible internet connection||- We paid 150 EUR / night , a price of a 4* hotel in the center of Barcelona, and got a 1* camping site experience ||||PROS||- The staff is nice, but they can't do anything given the type of people who come to...
