Hotel Palacio del Gobernador — Hotel in Moral de Calatrava

This hotel is in Moral de Calatrava. Not an typical turistical area.This hotel is in the rural area of Spain. Moral de Calatrava is around 3 hours drive from Madrid. Here there are lots of olive and grapefarms.This hotel was previously a castle and is by the Cathedral. It has a beautifull atmosphere. The check in was effective. The room I had was small but good enough. It was clean, airconditioned and had a great bathroom. There was a small fridge in the room. The bed was hard but ok. The shower is the room was good. There was also small cupboard.||||They breakfast was simple but very good. The coffee is served from the bar but included in the price. There was a nice sitting area outside. There is also a bar and restaurant by the hotel and some tapas restaurants just outside the hotel.||||The staff here are very friendly and helpful....

This is my second time here, and I am not disappointed at all. This was a palace before and now converted into a hotel. It is made og stone and wood and gives a very special impression. The check in and out was very effective here. The hotel is getting a bit worn out, but kept clean. My room was of average size with a nice and quite big bathroom. The bed is comfortable. There was a minisafe and a small fidge. The shower here was great. Rooms are cleaned every day with the possibility of changing towels. I have impression that each room here are not of equal size.||The breakfast was good with egg, ham, local sausages and some of cutrools. There was orange juice and coffee/tea. There was a bar at the hotel but was not open all the time. The price for the room was responsible. No problem in staying at this...

Wieder mal hat man mir für den Aufenthalt während einer Weinmesse in der Einöde von La Mancha ein Hotel gebucht.||||Für die Jahreszeit war es unerträglich heiß und der Innenhof, sowie die Steinmauern heizten sich unglaublich auf.||||Mein Vorteil war, ich bekam das einzige Zimmer im Erdgeschoß und die dicken Steinmauern schützten vor Hitze. Der Nachteil: Bei offenem Fenster wird man schon recht früh munter, sobald die ersten wenigen Autos über das Kopfsteinpflaster rattern. Ich hab´s ausgehalten.||||Das Hotel hat ein kleines Restaurant und eine Cafeteria, in der wenige Tapas aus der Hotelküche geboten werden. Der kleine Nachmittagsimbiss in Form einer Tortilla española ließ aufgrund der enorm hohen Salzgabe nach einem weiteren Bier verlangen und wurde auch nicht aufgegessen. Die Fleischbällchen hingegen waren in Ordnung.||||Das Abendessen mit Branchenkollegen hier fiel zwar unterhaltsam aber kulinarisch katastrophal aus. Das bestellte Kalb entpuppte sich als roher, übel riechender, zäher und mit Sehnen durchzogener Lappen am Knochen. Grauenhaft! So ein Ding hatte ich wirklich noch nie! Die Kartoffeln dazu aus Conveniece; weich, lauwarm und ebenfalls nicht zu empfehlen.||||Das Appartement im Erdgeschoß halbwegs sauber und sehr geräumig. Wie schon erwähnt für heiße Tage tauglich, zur kalten Jahreszeit aufgrund des Steinbodens wahrscheinlich etwas kühl. Das Zimmer meines deutschen Kollegen im ersten Stock recht klein und viel zu warm. Die Aircondition funktionierte nicht wirklich.||||Das Frühstück im Schinken- und Wurstbereich eher nicht animierend. Man bleibt bei Brot und Butter, etwas Rührei mit fettem Speck, der auch nicht wirklich Spaß machte.||||Erwähnens- und lobenswert die ausgesprochene Freundlichkeit der Hotelangestellten (Inhaberin?) und des Barmannes Manolo.||||Fazit: Hübsches, aber eher einfaches Hotel, freundlich-herzliches Personal. Wohnen Sie hier und essen Sie mangels Arternative besser im Parador del Almagro, ca. 13 km von hier entfernt. Ich denke Sie wohnen dort auch schöner, aber auch...
