El Remanso de Gredos — Hotel in Navalonguilla

We stayed here in August when the owners were away on their holidays, leaving us in the very capable hands of their two female assistants. These two ladies were unable to communicate in English but with our little Spanish we thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, they being comfortable enough with us after a day or so to be able to laugh and joke with us. They were polite, helpful and very accommodating especially at meal times whilst always remaining professional.||The Hotel itself can not be faulted as it is clean, reasonably modern, comfortable and being on the edge of town, has some lovely views to soak up along with a glass of whatever is your fancy whilst if you are lucky, watching Eagles fly overhead.||The room had a large double bed, a fridge and a Bath so I was as happy as can be with condensation on the outside of my glass, my latest MP3 album playing softly in the background and my Kindle staying safely out of reach of the bubbles up around my neck........ The wifi was the only negative point but when you consider where you were it did not surprise me the signal dropped at times.||Having private parking was also...

I do not think you could ask for a more incredible place to stay conveniently located two and a half hours northwest of Madrid. Nestled in a small village with tons of history - this 8 room hotel has EVERYTHING you have at home & more! The views will simply blow you away when you sit down with your wine, cheese & olives to watch the sunset on the patio. The caretaker - who cooks most of your meals is organized, attentive and can cook everything you want from the region! Words can not describe the roads in the area that will wind you thru very old grazing fields, a small village and to the mountains where people come from all over the world to hunt the Gredos...
