Hermida Rural — Hotel in O Incio

We first stayed here on a journey from Santiago de Compostela to the south of Spain and were looking for a one night stay. We found a gem! The hotel is situated in a beautiful rural setting beside a lake. The hotel is elegantly presented and the fit out throughout is all quality. It is in such a gorgeous, peaceful setting and you can just relax on the terrace with a book or take a peaceful wander around the lake shore edges, it is a haven of tranquility. The bar/salon makes the best gin & tonics and the service is superb. We loved it so much we went back and stayed two more nights. We selected the Hotel Hermida Rural as a well-located stopover on our way to Portugal on a motoring holiday. We were not disappointed. The Hotel is modern and while quite remote, easy to find and situated in glorious countryside. Although we were late season visitors we were made most welcome. Our room was comfortable and equipped with all facilities. Although the Hotel does not provide a full dinner menu, which some may find a disadvantage, the tapas, snack menu and excellent bar facilities more than made up for this and we certainly didn't go to bed feeling hungry. Hermida Rural was easily the nicest hotel that we stayed in Spain, we liked it so much we extended our stay.|The hotel is family owned and the service is fantastic. The rooms are high quality and spotlessly clean, free wifi is a bonus, continental breakfast is included and the terrace bar overlooking the lake serves the best G&T's and light meals. The location is peaceful and beautiful.|We thought Hermida Rural was fantastic value.|We were cycling in Spain for 4 months and this location was one of our favourite places for riding, with quiet roads and stunning climbs in the O Courel/Os Ancares mountains.|We would recomend Hermida Rural to anyone but cyclists in particular will love this...
