Casa Alicia Uso Turistico & Peregrinos — Hotel in O Rosal

There we were, exhausted and soaking wet on the Camino, in a fairly remote area and needing accommodation. Trying Google maps we stumbled across Casa Alicia. There was a button on the screen to call. Pushed it and Juan answered, our troubles were over. He had two double rooms available and we booked sight unseen. We were only 1.8 kms from his casa and Google maps led us to the front door where his wife was waiting for us. The casa far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, way more than enough for that evenings meal. The fridge was filled with beer and Alicia brought wine from their house across the street. The next day Juan drove us into a nearby town for a restaurant meal and visits to a bank, supermarket and pharmacy. I have never experienced kinder hosts. Alicia is an angel and will go above and beyond for her guests. I stayed one night here on my camino and it was the best stay I have had. There are 3 rooms to rent with a shared kitchen and a private bathroom at very good value. The accommodation is beautifully kept and supremely clean. It is easy to find from the path and an amazingly peaceful place to stop with great views. I wish I could stay longer as I felt at home immediately. Eine Oase am Camino da Costa

Wir hatten auf unserem Jakobsweg eine Nacht bei Alicia gebucht, da wir so die Strecke von Marinhas nach Baiona für uns sinnvoll in zwei Etappen aufteilen konnten. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön neben dem Jakobsweg gelegen mit unverbautem Blick auf den Atlantik vom Garten, der Küche, dem Wohnzimmer und mehreren Schlafzimmern aus. Es gibt Liegestühle, eine Waschmaschine und die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet. Außerdem war es sehr sauber. Was aber wirklich einzigartig ist, ist die Gastfreundschaft von Alicia und ihrem Mann Juan. Die beiden standen uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und waren mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit geradezu ansteckend. Das größte für uns war aber nach einer anstrengenden Etappe, die wir aufgrund der Zeitumstellung spät und dazu noch an einem Sonntag dort beendeten, dass der Tisch (Obst), der Kühlschrank und der Vorratsschrank für uns gefüllt waren. So konnten wir uns nicht nur für das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen, sondern auch für abends gut versorgen. Sie hätten uns auch auf Wunsch zu einem in der näheren Umgebung befindlichen Restaurant gefahren. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir spontan um eine Nacht verlängert und einen Pausetag eingelegt haben. Es ist wirklich wunderschön dort und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke...
