Could not rate this place more highly. With absolute privacy (the house is not overlooked) amongst the olive groves and with several vine shaded terraces, it is the perfect place to unwind. The pool is large and always clean and stays a perfect temperature to cool off, surrounded as it is with the scent of wild herbs, honeysuckle and jasmine. The garden has several terraces, each with ample and thoughtfully placed sitting areas for different times of the day and taking morning coffee and evening wine under the vines of dappled light listening to nothing but birdsong and palm leaves in the breeze was a dream. The house has been beautifully restored by the brilliantly artistic owners, who live a few fields away and could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. Jenny and Liz also laid on a pottery class for the four of us, which was as fun as it was fascinating. The local village has everything you could need, you can buy excellent local meat, fish, vegetables and wine from the numerous little shops, and there are stacks of places for beer and tapas, plus a large choice of good restaurants too. We visited Seville (1hr20), Ronda (35mins)and Jerez (1hr10) during our stay, but being so central, there is very little in Andalusia that would be too far away for a day trip. The house has everything you could need, a great kitchen and bbq, and a very generous welcome package of local treats, including vegetables and eggs from the owners garden and hens. Can’t thank Jenny and Liz enough for being so helpful and we really enjoyed chatting about her experiences of Spanish life. We will definitely be back, can’t...
Read moreThis place is a jewel. The house is near the beautiful town Olvera, however, itself isolated and quiet. You will find everything you need in the kitchen, the rooms, the garden, and there is a nice pool. The hosts live nearby and are allways ready to help. The place is perfect for family or group of friends for a longer stay (we stayed for 10 nights) for both still relaxation and more intensive vacations. For us, it was particularly important that the place is in a good strategic (central, I would say) position for traveling by car. We were visiting Granada, Cordoba, Cadiz, Sevilla, Malaga, Caminito del Rey, Gibraltar, etc., and every location can be reached rather well. I did not do much investigation of prices in other similar villas, but from what I did, this one seems to me a very good choice from this...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at this lovely renovated farmhouse. The owners are lovely people, and have provided everything you could possibly need to make the house comfortable. Spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms and a fantastic pool. And the gardens are really pretty. Don't miss visiting Olvera, and the castle, and the via verde if you fancy a walk. Thank you so much, we'll be back...
