Hotel Mabú — Hotel in Ourense

[EN] It is a hotel that, as can be deduced from its classification, has a one-star rating, offering a basic level of quality. Clearly, it is not the best hotel one might stay in, but it meets the minimum expected standards. The establishment appears to be old, particularly in the common areas, although the room I stayed in was in good condition. My stay lasted only one night, and as negative aspects, I would highlight that the shouts of a Portuguese guest could be heard and that one of the towels had a hair in an unhygienic condition. I would like to think that this was an isolated incident rather than a widespread issue, but in any case, I would not recommend arriving with high expectations. It is a suitable option for those wishing to visit the thermal baths, and for breakfast, the bar located across the street is highly recommended.

[GAL] Trátase dun hotel que, segundo a súa clasificación, conta cunha estrela, polo que ofrece un nivel de calidade básico. Evidentemente, non é o mellor hotel no que alguén se poida aloxar, pero cumpre cos requisitos mínimos esperados. Percíbese que é un establecemento antigo, especialmente nas zonas comúns, aínda que a habitación na que me aloxei estaba en boas condicións. A miña estadía foi dunha soa noite e, como aspectos negativos, destacaría que se escoitaban os berros dun hóspede de nacionalidade portuguesa e que unha das toallas tiña un cabelo en condicións pouco hixiénicas. Quero pensar que foi unha situación puntual e non un problema xeneralizado, pero, en calquera caso, non recomendaría acudir cunhas expectativas demasiado altas. É unha opción recomendable para quen desexe visitar as termas, e para o almorzo, o bar situado enfronte é altamente recomendable.

Mi estancia fue de una sola noche y, como aspectos negativos, destacaría que se escuchaban los gritos de un huésped de nacionalidad portuguesa y que una de las toallas tenía un cabello en condiciones poco higiénicas. Quiero pensar que fue una situación puntual y no un problema generalizado, pero, en cualquier caso, no recomendaría acudir con expectativas demasiado altas. Es una opción recomendable para quienes deseen visitar las termas, y para el desayuno, el bar situado enfrente resulta altamente...

Five stars for staff, very friendly, in spite of my poor Spanish and their poor English we communicated well. Safe free parking, location close to thermal baths. The place is very clean , quite small rooms, good showers, simple nice breakfast, hotel carries noise up to the floors quite easily, and with the excited Spaniards sleeping was a bit disturbed. We had just arrived, receptionist was also working in the bar so had to wait - not her fault though, she was very friendly. What hotel does not have a laundry service? We were given inaccurate directions to a laundry service down the road but ended up in a dodgy street so didn't bother. We were booked for three nights (based on positive reviews) but only stayed one. The area was a dive and I'm not even that fussy. I just think that what you read and see in photos are not...
